(He nodded as she answered him, watching her with concern in his eyes.) I know you have.. you've got this reverse morning sickness thing going. (He said, the hint of a sympathetic smile touching his features as he reached out and laid his hand over her stomach, again feeling that hitch of initial excitement.) Let's just say I have intelligence that says it was. I really dont want to think about it anymore.. not when there are so much more important things to think about. I've spent too much time in the past three weeks worrying about other families when I should be spending it caring for you. (He said softly, tipping his head to look down at his now sleeping son.) Do you think monster here wants to go back in his crib? (He asked, because he knew if he got up to take the toddler in the other room himself that she would belt him one. The truth was that he wanted to be selfish.. he wanted to have her to himself. It still bothered the shit out of him that he hadn't been able to make love to her after she'd told him she was pregnant, it was a sore spot for him still.. stupid leg. He wasn't entirely sure he could get it up with the painkillers he was on anyways.. He cleared his throat and forced his train of thought away, wondering what got into him at times. Well, that was an easy answer - it was three and a half weeks of celibacy.. that's what it was.) It's not fault I am after, Shay.. it's just that when I think about those families.. I think of how that should have been me.. and I can't even think about leaving you, Chase and the baby behind. (He shook his head again, sighing and settling back again.)
