In silence, the assassin reclined on a nearby boulder, ebony fur blending seamlessly with the shadows cast jaggedly across the debris-littered ground. "For now, it's just us. Let them know we have even this little hole, and they'll exterminate us. And in doing so, there goes this planet's only hope for revenge." She didn't speak of hope, of salvation, or of freeing the barren wasteland of a world from Drakkan slavery. Her words were lined with the promise of death and blood for the black overlords, not of rebirth for her shattered adopted planet.

Januya jin Jekki smiled coldly at the Korat and fine-tuned her shrr rifle, the blocky gun cradled almost reverently in her lean arms as nimble claws danced over the internal settings.
