Nightmare on Elm Street wasn't as scary as the Horror on Lakeview Ave. It isn't bad enough that you have to sit there for so long, waiting in traffic because NO ONE will stop and let you out. Did anyone ever notice how FAST they drive at that time too? Everyone knows that the police are sitting at the Lo Kai, so they slow down right at the point. As soon as they pass that point, and with a wild flame shooting from their eyes, they speed up to make sure that those waiting to pull out can't! It's like a psychological thriller.

I also don't see why we can't pay a civilian to do that job, and train them correctly. How many times have all of us sat behind a detail, only to see the police officer watching the workers intensely, ignoring the cars that are piling up behind them. Even better, sitting in their own car while we swerve around the work detail, hoping and praying that another car is not doing the same!

You could put a light there, but most likely it would be set up on blinkers.

Stay tuned for the sequel, Scare Street, when the new school opens and we have three times the traffic!
