Subject: Crappy politicians & the new fire station

In March of 2000 I purchased a home in Dracut center, two houses from my childhood home where my mother & grandmother still reside. When I bought this house it was surrounded
by a wooded lot, as it was through my childhood.
I thought what a great place to bring up my children.
In July of 2001 a came home from vacation to find all the woods behind my house gone.
The only view i have now is a nasty construction site. When went to the town hall to get some info i was greeted with an arrogant town manager and sent to the town annex where i was greeted with a building inspector who was the rudest excuse for a human being i have ever encountered. They all passed the buck on somone else. Till this day I have never been told what this town plans to do to my neiborhood.

Why do the town officials act like we are not a community or even a democratic goverment.
They made very little effort to inform the people being effected by this fire station project and have hid the truth.

Since they started this project I have ad every insect none to man move in to my property (wasps, bees, hornets, rabbits, mice,) they took there home and when asked if there was somthing they could do for me the sayed no!!

It's created a traffic problem on stone st and springpark ave. The construction trucks speed and don't stop at stop signs.

And to top it all off right behind my house will now be a parking lot with cars facing right into my bedroom window.

The bottom line is that I am a taxpayer in a democratic society. And was never even sent a letter to say we are going to change your neiborhood, never mind asked to vote on it.
It's my opinion that the town officials don't make a good effort to make the town aware of these projects. Further they make no effort to make you feel they are working for you. This sucks.
my property value has decreased, my kids cant play in my backyard due to the infestation and this town won't lift a finger to help.

We should be more carefull who we hire and elect into office in this town because if this was the town managers backyard this would never have been....
