Help me out here, Preston, who set the best example for leadership characteristics in this year's Selectmen's race? The two incumbents had well known conflict of interests with one of the biggest building developers in town, they were among several public officials who were recently served with lawsuit court papers for denying a local trucking company its civil rights (which appears to be nothing more than a vain attempt to please another selectman's girlfriend via taxpayer money), and, even the Lowell Sun chose not to endorse any of these selectmen candidates prior to the election. Granted, Thivierge may have been a little naive when it came to voicing his viewpoints on the issues of Dracut, but at least the guy's honest with some semblance of integrity. Is it really any wonder why this year's selectmen's race was so close? Keep fighting the good fight, Alan, I'm sure your time is just around the corner.
