CCE is the acronym for "Comhaltas Coeltoiri Eireann", the Dublin-based society whose mission is to promote traditional Irish music, dance and culture. The local, Montgomery County-based O'Neill-Malcom Branch is the sponsor of CCE MAD Week.

CCE MAD Week is an extraordinary week of fun for children and adults. For instrumentalists, it's an opportunity to learn traditional Irish dance tunes - reels, jigs, hornpipes, polkas and more from some of the best performers and teachers on fiddle (violin), flute, pennywhistle, bodhran (Irish drum), guitar, button accordion, Uilleann pipes and tenor banjo.

It's also a great opportunity to learn how to dance Irish set-dances and the more freelance old style dancing known as Sean-nos.

We've assembled another extraordinarily gifted faculty of performers and teachers this year.

Fiddle:
Martin Hayes, Patrick Ourceau, Jesse Smith, Cleek Schrey, Bob Spates and Donna Long.

Flute & Penny Whistle:
Kevin Crawford (Lunasa) & Laura Byrne (who will lead a class in pennywhistle for rank beginners)

Uilleann Pipes: Jerry O'Sullivan

Bodhran (Irish Drum):
Jesse Winch & Myron Bretholz will teach bodhran (Irish drum).

Guitar Accompaniment: All - Ireland winner Josh Dukes

Tenor Banjo: Keith Carr

Button Accordion: Sean McComiskey

Sean-Nos (Old Style) & Set Dancing: Shannon Dunne & Marilyn Moore
