  Reminder – Teelin Spring Break is 2 weeks long (March 17-March 30). There are no regularly scheduled classes during this time. However, some teachers have scheduled make-up classes. The list of scheduled make-up classes is available here.
  
  Many thanks to everyone who danced in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Baltimore yesterday – Teelin School was a very impressive “sea of red” dancing down Charles Street and Pratt Street!!! Fun day!

  Dancers from the Teelin Irish Dance Company will be on two Baltimore television stations this Friday (Feb 22) performing a few numbers from Saturday's big show 'Portraits of Ireland'! Here's where to see them:

  Home School and Tiny Toes classes for today have been cancelled because the Teelin studio in Columbia has no power. Power is expected to be restored by 2pm, so evening classes WILL be held! As of now, temperatures are expected to remain above freezing through 11pm. Any schedule changes will be emailed & alerted here.

• Atlanta Oireachtas Vendor Alert -- Sandie E., 10:13:59 01/24/08 Thu [7]
  Heads-up to anyone that made a purchase on a card from Celtic Imports Ft. Walton Beach Fla.. I made a $10.00 purchase from them at the hotel on 12/05. The transaction did not come through until recently. The problem is that it was put through twice on one day and 2 more times on seperate days after that. The chamber of commerce in Ft. Walton Beach has no listing for them. I have contacted my bank..but I just want to warn others.

  Because of the possibility of inclement weather this weekend, we would like to request an RSVP from students planning to attend Class Card classes on Sunday, December 16. Between the weather and the busyness of the holiday season, we are concerned that attendance for this weekend’s classes may not be enough to warrant holding all three hours of instruction.
  
  If you plan to attend a Class Card class this weekend, kindly send an email to info@teelin.com or call 443-226-5977 before 12noon on Sunday. If there are any changes to the schedule based on replies, those changes will be posted to the Teelin website (www.teelin.com) and the School Message Board by 12:15pm on Sunday.

  1:00-2:00pm Basic Hard Shoe Skills & Drills
  Recommended for Levels 1-3 to develop a strong foundation in hard shoe technique. Prior hard shoe experience not required.
  
  2:00-3:00pm Intermediate Soft Shoe Skills & Drills
  Recommended for Levels 3-4, or Novice level competitors.
  
  3:00-4:00pm Advanced Soft Shoe Skills & Drills
  Recommended for Levels 4-5, or Prizewinner through Champion level competitors.
  
  Class Card classes are held at the Columbia studio. Each workshop is one punch on a Teelin Class Card, or $17 for drop-in. (Card must be punched at time of class, or drop-in fee paid.)

  Sunday, Dec 9 there are two great Class Card opportunities!
  
  1:00-2:00pm “Sock Glue” Treble Jig Workshop
  This workshop is recommended for dancers who have some hard shoe experience and are either already working on these two steps (“Sock Glue I” and “Sock Glue II”) in their class, or who know at least one other hard shoe step and would like to learn these two steps. Dancers who are performing the Sock Glue steps in competition will also greatly benefit from this workshop. Maureen will drill each skill in the steps.
  
  2:00-3:00pm Beginner and “4 Batters” Treble Jig Workshop
  Dancers who are knew to hard shoes, this is your workshop! Dancers who compete with these beginner/adv beg steps will also greatly benefit from this opportunity to drill each skill within the steps. Participants need not have prior hard shoe experience for this class, but should be at least Level 1 Irish.
  
  Class Card classes are held at the Columbia studio. Each workshop is one punch on a Teelin Class Card, or $17 for drop-in. (Card must be punched at time of class, or drop-in fee paid.)

  Admission to the Teelin Ceili has reached capacity with advanced ticket sales. Tickets will not be sold at the door this year.
  
  If you have already submitted your ticket order with payment but did not yet receive a confirmation email, don’t panic! Eileen will still be sending confirmations for ticket orders received within the last two days.

  This weekend sounds like it's going to be awesome with the Teelin ceili on Saturday, and for even more entertainment, come see A Midsummer Night's Dream at Centennial High School! The show runs this Wednesday through Saturday (but make sure you're at the ceili on Saturday!) and starts at 7 pm. It's fun for the whole family, and is sure to have you slapping your knees in laughter! Tickets are $10 at the door.

  Did you know that there will be 33 Teelin dancers heading to Virginia Beach this weekend to compete at the Rhythm of Ireland Feis?!?!?! Way to go, Teelin, that’s a great showing for an out-of-state feis!!!
  
  We have 33 dancers competing in their solo dance events, two 4-Hand Teams, one 8-Hand Team, two Teelin dancers entered in the music competition, and two Teelin adults entered in Art and Baking competitions!!! (Personally, I think the art and the baking categories have the stiffest competition.)
  
  Best of luck to EACH of the competitors!!! Show ‘em what Teelin does best – have FUN!!!!!!!!!
