  The 32nd Comhaltas Irish Dance Festival or "CCE Feis" as most folks call it will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009.
  
  THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS:

  Registration will open this weekend, Saturday, March 28th at 8am. In the past this very popular Feis "reached its cap" in less than eight hours.

  Did anyone accidentally pick-up a pair of shiny black bloomers in the POI dressing room? These are the "puffy" ones that were made with the black Teelin school dress. We thought we had them, but on closer look realized we clearly don't.

  Rachel has misplaced her ghillies. She last had them on Wednesday last week at the Columbia studio before the Level 5 class. So if anyone accidentally picked them up, let me know.   Call quick to reserve Oireachtas reservations. Thursday was booked for the dance rate. I also saw on the SR message board that supposedly Friday was sold out as well. I would still call the hotel and try to get a reservation though. I asked about a military/government rate and it is $129 also. If you qualify, try that discount to get your reservation.   However, temperatures are expected to rise, therefore as of now, all evening Teelin classes will be held as scheduled.

  Lady of Knock Feis will be held on Sunday, April 19 in Kutztown, PA, and just opened for registration on feisweb.
  
  I am unfamiliar with this feis. Has anyone else ever attended it? Just curious, because we're going anyway... it looks to be about 2.5 hours from Columbia, so a reasonable day trip.

  Molly learned today that she passed the TCRG exam!!! This arduous exam is offered only twice a year in North America, and involves written sections, music recognition, dance performance, and teaching demonstrations, all judged by a panel from the Irish Dancing Commission based in Dublin, Ireland.
  
  Molly received her letter from Ireland in the mail today announcing her new status as a TCRG... and we're so proud of her and so happy for her!!!
  
  Thank you, Molly, for all of your efforts toward this exam! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Billy lives in Baltimore and plays each year at our annual Teelin Ceili. (He also played for us at the Teelin Irish Dance Festival in May.)

The info I got for airport to hotel shuttle- need to use Town & Country 407-828-3035- $28/person round trip- reservations in advanced prefered. No shuttle from our hotel to Disney( but can walk to Sea World) ( Town and Country offered for $16/person one way)No refrig in rooms and can't rent. Has anyone gotten better information.??? • Free Holiday Concert at the Lyric Opera House -- a Teelin parent wishing to share news of a great opportunity, 17:07:16 11/10/08 Mon [1]
  On Friday, December 5th the U.S. Army Field Band will perform two free concerts at the Lyric Opera House (10:30 am and 7:30 pm). We went last year when they played at The Meyerhoff and it was awesome! The show was broadcast live and recorded for repeat broadcast on Armed Forces Radio. The show was a wonderful combination of songs, skits and tributes to all branches of the military. This is a great family evening! You will feel so proud to be an American.
  
  Ticket requests are filled on a first come, first served basis. Go on www.armyfieldband.com and click on the red box that reads "Sound the Bells" to get to the order form, which you must fill out and mail with a self addressed stamped envelope. Good luck!
