Subject: Grades feis math inside
In reply to: Krista 's message, "Can you explain how to do "feis math"? Esp. for Grades?" on 09:49:29 06/17/11 Fri

Typically, what I do is take the number of dancers, divide by 2, and multiply by 1.5 (minutes) to estimate. The quickest way is to add up all the dancers on the stage prior to the competition that your dancer is in, do the math, and that will give you an approximate time the competition will run.

I always plan on being to a feis 1 hour prior to my calculation. Some feisanna run faster than others, sometimes I have shopping I need to do before my daughter dances, and just to allow a relaxed amount of time for her to get ready.

Let me know if you have any other questions. (Oh, PW on Purple stage I have calculated as starting at 2:30ish, but I haven't inserted a lunch break, so it could start later.)
