I wanted to let you and everyone know about a friend of mine whose little boy was in an accident that involved fire Saturday afternoon. His name is Clay and he is 5 years old. He was burned very badly. He is currently at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas fighting for his life. His first of many surgeries was this morning at 10:00 AM. The little boy is in desperate need of blood. If you or anyone can and would want to give blood, please go to any Carter Blood Care and donate in his name. It doesn't matter what blood type you are, Clay will get the credit if you donate in his name. The family is having to pay for each pint of blood unless it is donated for Clay. The information following is what you will need to give if you decide to donate. Thanks for your help in getting the word out there.

Madison Zandt is hosting a "Pajama Mama Drive"

She is collecting New pajama's for infants to size 17.

Pajamas need to be new and unused. Here’s what a prominent physician has to say about this:

"The clothing a child spends 8-10 hours sleeping in is
    important to a child's well-being. New pajamas are a
necessary part of promoting good health and
    preventing infections and disease,
as well as providing psychological benefits."

  • Cristian Mallory and I would like to Thank all the girls and their families that helped with the "Tx. Christmas Angels for Service" project she hosted over the Christmas holiday season for the Dallas VA Hospital and Recovering American Soldiers -- Terri & Stephan Dueboay, Cristi, 2008 Tx Today's Humanatarian ~~ Cristian Mallory~~ & the 2007 TX BABY QUEEN, & 2007 NAT TINY DREAM BABY~ ~ Crista Mallory~~ (Excited **Alvarado Prelim Jan 24h, call now), 22:11:10 12/27/08 Sat [1]

WE had such an amazing experience doing the project..that everyone wants to expand it next year to help 12 families of Recovering American Soldiers. That is 9 more than the 3 we helped this year. I think it was more of a blessing to all of us that helped with the project than the familes we helped.
We want to incorporate it into the "Twelve Days Before Christmas" theme and visit one family each day for twelve days next Christmas.

We were able to go and deliver a Christmas tree that we had donated, (thanks Keely) and fully set it up and decorate it with decorations we got donated, (thanks Taylor) for one wheelchair bound Navy Seal in Cedar Hill. The girls sang Christmas Carols (thanks Taylor and Cristian, Cristi, Crista, Tracie Crouse, and Stephan Dueboay) as they decorated the tree. They placed a Nativity scene that was donated(thanks Taylor) in the living room of the Recovering American soldier as they wished him a very Merry Christmas. (Thanks for driving us there Stephan)
Tx. Christmas Angels for Service collected donations for a Christmas Tree (thanks Kylan) and more decorations. thanks Taylor, Cristian, and Crista)
We delivered the Christmas tree with the decorations for it for a quadroplegic Soldier who was in the Marines and lives in Kemp, Tx. on Cristian's birthday. He lives on Cedar Creek lake. (thanks for driving us there Stephan) I am not sure who had a better day..Cristian or the soldier.

The family Cristian's project members adopted in Maypearl is a Recovering American Soldier who served in the Army as a Military Police officer. He served in Yugoslavia, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Desert Storm. What an amazing soldier who gave so much for his country as did all the soldiers we visited this Christmas.

We were able to donate a full Christmas dinner, from the turkey and dressing, to ham and sweet potatoes, green beans, corn, stuffing, potatoes, eggs, milk, broccoli casserole, yeast rolls, Chocolate pies, pineapple right side up cakes, pumplin pies, candy canes, cookies, chocolate candies, brownies, marshmallows for the sweet potatoes and for the hot chocolate and popcorn, tea, sugar, brown sugar...right down to the butter for the rolls and the cool whip for the desserts, and everything you can imnagine that it takes to make a Christmas dinner. Oh..and paper plates, napkins, plastic silverware, and plastic glasses...etc. etc. and etc... (Thanks Cristian, Crista, Cristi, Taylor, Kylan, Alyse, & Stephan for supplying the family with such an awesome Christmas dinner) Cristian went to our church, the Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church and got tickets for the family to "The First Texas Christmas" show.
It was an amazing show..real Commanche Indians, a huge teepee, a wild Mustang, to a full Cowboy string band singing Christmas Carols by a real live camp fire inside the church..(It is a Cowboy Church after all..with a real dirt floor) The Christmas carols were amazing and Cristian was one of the Indian girls dancing happily singing Feliz Navidad with all the other Indain girls in the show.
We got everything from a bike for the 8 year old, (thanks Cristian)…to presents for the whole family, Cologne sets, jewelry, western vest, and tool kits, (thanks Kylan)….right down to gift boxes, and wrapping paper and tape and bows donated for their whole Christmas. I have never seen so much Hannah Montana and High School Musical things in all my life. (Thanks Jesse, Madison, Tatum, Delayne, Cristian, Crista, Alyse, Makenzie, Hailey, Maegan, Alexa, Mary, Kaci, Keely, and Taryn) There were 19 cd’s..Gospel and country music donated (thanks Kaci)

It was amazing! You can't even imagine how much stuff we got donated for the family..One of our Tx. Christmas Angels for Service even went Tuesday evening and wrapped all the presents for our adopted family…(Thanks Taylor)
The father of our adopted family is a father of three, an 8 year old little girl, and two teenage sons..he is wheelchair bound..paralyzed from the waste down..minimal use of his hands..and he takes care of his mentally handicapped brother who lives with him. He gave so much for our country..it was nice to be able to give back tohim and his family this Christmas Season..I belive we were all blessed by this project! Thanks Cristian for having a heart as big as Texas and inviting all your TG pageant sisters to participate in this wonderful project.

We visited the Dallas VA Hospital and performed Christmas Carols in the Home Of The Brave Center the week before Christmas. (thanks Cristian, Crista, Tatum, Kaci, Mary, Taylor, and Tracie Crouse for performing, visiting the soldiers and staff.
A special thanks to Stephan who drove us there..and was our sound tech for the Christmas entertainment program performed by our Tx. Christmas Angels for Service. Thanks Cristi for taking photo’s during the program for everyone’s community service books..although..these memories will be with us for a very long time. Thank you Stephan and his fellow employee’s at City Hall and the City of Midlothian Employee’s for donating the refreshments for the Txs. Christmas Angels for Service to provide for the staff at the Home Of The Brave Center during our program. Thank you to Cristian, Crista, Mary, Taylor, Kaci, and Madison for bringing 200 Christmas Cards for the Recovering American Soldiers to hand out after our program.

Our Christmas was terrific even before Christmas Day.
WE had such a great time..that we are going to start right now collecting donations for next year’s Tx. Christmas Angels for Service project..”The Twelve Days Before Christmas”…we will be collecting artificial Christmas Trees’s, Christmas decorations, Christmas gifts, stuffed animals, Christmas Stockings, Christmas Cards, and Christmas tins and Christmas cookie platters or Christmas dishes that can be stored for next year’s project. If you have any of these items that you
want to donate right now for next year’s project..please contact Cristian Mallory @ terri3tigersd@sbcglobal.net or 817-202-9088. Go ahead..make our day..rack up those community service hours girls and make someone happy! Who will be the next Humanatarian winner or Humanatarian finalist?
    God Bless the Giver!!!
    Happy New Year!
Photo slideshow coming soon on all the Christmas events for Tx. Christmas Angels for Service.
    Terri Dueboay, Local Director
    Johnson Co. Area in the
    Spirit of Texas Region
P.S. WE will have a big Valentine Community Service “Tx. Valentine Angels for Service”

    Oh my.....
We just got back from delivering the Christmas tree to Navy Seal, Mr. Paul Beohme, a Recovering American Soldier who lives in Cedar Hill. He just got out of the Dallas VA Hospital yesterday. We delivered, decorated the tree, visited..and caroled while the girls were decorating the tree. He was amazing! He is totally wheelchair bound, and what an amazing personality. He met us in his wheelchair at the door, and when we came in..he asked.."are you my Angels?" Our hearts totally melted right then and there..we had definitely met a friend. The girls did a lovely job of the tree decorating..it looks amazing..he was so gracious..and the girls were wonderful!!! I can't wait for you to see the pics!!! Wow..what a Christmas already. I don't think I have ever seen a Christmas tree I loved anymore than at that moment when the girls put the angle on top and lit the tree for him. It was very touching the say the least. Crista, Cristian, & Taylor Clark went to make Christmas happen for Mr. Beohme, and they had a blast. wow..is about all I can say.. it was a very intense and amazing thing tonight.

Thank you Keely for donating the tree, Thank you Crista and Cristian for donating decorations and the beautiful Angel tree topper, and Thank you Taylor for donating decorations. Thank you Stephan Dueboay for driving us to the home of Mr. Beohme and helping us set up the tree...and being tall enough to help us put the Angel on top of the tree! Thank you Taylor, Keely, Crista, Cristian, Stephan, and Tracie for giving of your time and hearts to make Christmas Happen for Mr. Beohme tonight!!! You are all amazing...and you are truly Angels.

    And guess what?

Yes...we are going to Make Christmas Happen again tomorrow night...we have so many Tx. Christmas Angels for Service going to the Dallas VA Hospital on Dec. 19th for our Christmas entertainment and visitation program for the Recovering American Soldiers. Meet our adopted family..38 year old Danny Brandt, a veteran is a "Recovering American Soldier" who is a father of three children. He served for our country and is in a wheelchair. Not only does he take care of his 3 children, Danny has a heart as big as Texas..he takes care of his 48 year old mentally handicapped brother...David who lives with him. Danny is trying to secure his and his families future going to school full-time to recieve his degree. Danny and his family are very active in their church. They reside in Maypearl, Tx.
Danny's three children are 8 year old Lexi, 14 year old son Charles..who is soon to be 15 in Jan., and 16 year old Zachary.
Everyone in the family loves music. Lexi is in to most everything most 8 year old little girls are into these days, Hannah Montana, music, Little People, and she loves stuffed animals. Lexi loves crafts, beading, jewlery, and art crafts. Danny's teenage son's like most teenage boys are into...cars, music, and of course..girls! They love most all music especially country and gospel. Gift cards may be the best bet as far as gifts for the 2 teenage sons.
Danny's brother loves music as well. and spends most of his time researching musical artist of all genres on the internet.
I spoke with Danny this morning. He is a very personable and devoted father. We will be meeting Danny, his brother David, and two of their family friends this Sunday night for the first time and taking them as our guest to "The First Texas Christmas" program hosted at the Shepherd's Valley Cowboy Church. We will be sending all the makings for their Christmas dinner home with Danny on Sunday night as he wants to cook Christmas dinner for his family. We have a large turkey, a large spiral cut honey ham, Stuffing mix, sweet potatoes, green beans, sugar, butter flavor Crisco, brown sugar, corn, evap milk, canned chicken broth, and 1 pumpkin pie that hs been donated as far as food for their Christmas dinner. The family loves broccoli & cheese casserole as part of their Christmas dinner, so I will be making that casserole for them as well. We still need some cakes, pies, and cookies, fresh milk, rolls, butter, and eggs for donations. Gift cards will be greatly appreciated for this family....Wal-mart, music stores, eletronic stores..etc. We still are in great need of Christmas presents for each family member. Gifts can be wrapped or unwrapped. If you have any extra wrapping paper we could use that as well for the family to wrap any unwrapped gifts we recieve for the family. Anything we can get before this Sunday evening will be greatly appreciated. Any donations we recieve after Sunday needs to be recieved by us no later than noon on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd as that will be our last chance we have to get anything delivered to the family before Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who has so generously given for this family.

We recieved 2 Christmas trees and tree decorations. Our adopted family already has a Christmas tree..we are taking the Christmas trees to the "Tx. Christmas Angels for Service" entertainment program at the Dallas VA Hopsital this Friday, Dec. 19th at 7pm. The two trees will be given to two families who do not have Christmas trees this year.

Our Today's Girl Family is awesome!!! And because of you Today's Girl is making Christmas happen for the Brandt family this year. Thank you so very much. Your genorisity and kindness never ceases to end.
    God Bless the Giver!

Today's Girls are invited to become one of Cristian's "Tx. Christmas Angels for Service" and earn community service hours.
We are proud to announce that Cristian Mallory, 2008 Texas Humanatarian from Cleburne, Texas is hosting another new project that the Today's Girls representatives are helping with. The new community service program is called: "Tx. Christmas Angels for Service" where we will Adopt a family for Christmas through "Soldier's Angels". The Today's Girls project participants will provide a Christmas tree, decorations, a Christmas dinner, and Christmas presents for a very special family that would have none of these things this year. This family will be specially chosen for us by Soldier's Angels. We need donations of a Christmas tree..real or artificial, lights, decorations, tree topper, Christmas stockings, stocking stuffers, and the makings for a Christmas dinner..all the bells and whistles..stuffing, ham, canned vegetables, yams, marshmallows, canned milk, fresh milk, fresh fruit, eggs, cool whip, rolls, butter, cranberry sauce, cakes, pies, Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, popcorn, Christmas candies, Christmas mugs, and Christmas gifts for mom and dad and espeically for the children..gift cards will also be great so the parents can go pick out something special for their children. Walmart gift cards would be just perfect. We won't need a turkey as we already have 1 donated. The family chosen will be for a Recovering American Soldier and his family..he may still be in the VA hospital, or recently dismissed from the hospital after his return from Iraq. His family will not have a Christmas this year without our help. If you would like to partake in this worthy project..contact Terri Dueboay, Cristian's grandmother @ 817-202-9088 hm, 682-365-2852cell, or terri3tigersd@sbcglobal.net. I should find out who our adopted family is sometime this week or by the first of next week. I will let you know how many children are in this family, whether they are girls and or boys, and how old they are, and how old the parents are along with their names. You may bring donations to the Christmas Party at Van or at the Christmas Party in Georgetown and give to Cristian. You will recieve community service hours for this project. You are also invited to attend when we give the Soldiers Angels this wonderful Christmas to present to our adopted family. If everyone one of the Tx. Today's Girls gave even 1 thing towards this project for this special Christmas for this family..it will be a Christmas they remember for ever. Together...we can make it happen..let's make Christmas!!! We can do it..after all..we are Today's Girls!

Through Cristian's "Tx. Christmas Angels for Service" Project we have been invited to sing Christmas Carols and other songs at the VA hospital in Dallas, and visit with the soldiers. Some of the Soldiers have been there a short time, and some have been there for quiet some time. You may bring Christmas cards to this "Tx. Christmas Angels for Service" entertainment/visitation program for the Recovering American Soldiers. We will also provide refreshments/treats for the staff during our program who take care of "OUR" Recovering American Soldiers at the VA Hospital. The staff gives of their time for the servicemen who have fought for our country. Now it is time for us to give back to them for what they have given for us. You will receive community service hours for refreshments you bring to this entertainment program and for "Recovering American Soldiers" cards you bring. You will also receive community service hours for the time you are at the program/vistation.
Please pick out your favorite Christmas songs, Patriotic, songs, or your favorite performance number to entertain at this program. We will also be caroling as a group. The date for this "Tx.
