At Large Delegates Now Being Accepted for the 2012 American Spirit Pageant

American Spirit Pageants is now accepting applications for �At Large� Delegates to our next national competition will be held April 4-7, 2012 at Disney�s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, FL. If a state pageant has already been scheduled for the state you hope to represent you will need to compete in, and win, that pageant in order to compete in the national competition. If not, you can apply for consideration as an �At Large� Delegate by filling out the application at: http://www.americanspiritpageants.com/delegate-application/. You can check to see if a state pageant has been scheduled on our State Links Page.

There are four competition divisions: Teen, Miss, Ms. and Mrs.

American Spirit Pageants Now Accepting State Delegate Applications -- Denny VanDerGinst (ASP Director), 11:05:20 07/01/11 Fri [1]

American Spirit Pageants is a wonderful system that allows young women an opportunity to showcase themselves, network with other people and give back to their community all at the same time. This year we are hoping to have as many state pageants as possible. However, we are accepting �At large� Delegate applications for each state until a state director has been selected and a state pageant scheduled. To determine if a state pageant has been scheduled for your state visit http://www.americanspiritpageants.com/state-links/ and click on your state. If there is a state pageant scheduled it will be posted there and you will need to compete in the state pageant and win in order to compete at our national pageant. If there is no state pageant yet scheduled you may apply for an �At large� berth by going to http://www.americanspiritpageants.com/delegate-application/ and filling out the application.

There are four divisions in each state (Teen Miss, Miss, Ms. and Mrs.) which will compete at the national pageant.

The national American Spirit Pageant will be held April 4-7, 2012 at Disney�s Coronado Springs resort. All state delegates (state pageant winners and �At Large� selectees) will participate in a number of events and photo opportunities. ASP Queens shall be expected to make appearances on behalf of their state for their full reign. ASP is the only national pageant system that incorporates fundraising into the competition.

Heart of Texas Workshop details for May15th Critique sheets and suggestions will be given by Doug and the directors. Please be sure the contestant is in full hair, makeup and outfit (including the correct shoes for modeling) as she would be competing for state.
3:00pm-4:30pm - Extra practice for modeling and talent
(This is your opportunity to try different outfits for casual wear and party dress/evening gown. You may also practice a different talent at this time. Critique sheets will not be given at this point. Suggestions and verbal critiques is what you will receive during this segment.)
Immediately following the workshop, everyone is invited to go to:

I have 2 junior size dresses for sale. My daughter wore one at the national today's girl pageant in 08 and one in the national today's girl pageant in 09.

One is Maroon in color with lots of crystals on front and around to back side. Cris crosses in the back with a low back. No train!!

The other is Turqoius in color. Completely covered in lace and crystals with a small train. Strapless, mermaid cut.

We are holding a "Me & My Guy~~Me & My Gal *Valentine Style" Overall Event which will be open to all Contestants, all VIP Contestants, & all TG Reigning Royalty attending for a $10 entry fee & a community service donation below. With a minimum of 10 contestants entered in OV Event..the Overall Winner will win a $50 Cash Scholarship. With a minimum of 20 contestants entered..the Overall Winner will win a $100 Cash Scholarship. 30 Contestants minimum entered in OV Event will win a $150 Cash Scholarship. The OV Winner will also recieve a monogrammed tote or duffle bag. I have purchased all the tickets available for the 5pm train ride through the online purchase..although..they say they will have additional tickets at the ticket booth. Anyone that has not already purchased tickets as a part of our TG group..You will have to purchase your ticket at the Ticket booth on Dec. 20th for the 5pm ride. All online tickets for the 5pm ride are sold out.
Bring a New Teddy Bear to ride the train with you then donate the Teddy Bear so it will find a new home with the Soldiers & their famlies in Fort Hood.
Steam down the tracks with your TG Pageant sisters and their families aboard the North Pole Express, complete with carols, stories and an enchanting encounter with Santa Claus himself. Oh..and hot chocolate too! (And Ms. Terri is bringing brownies..and you can bring your favorite cookies to share with the group. Who doesn't like hot chocolate & treats??? Feel free to bring a thermos of hot coffee if you want.

So, grab your pj's and ride the Grapevine Vintage Railroad to your Christmas dreams! The square is decorated and has lot's of fun events..our kids are out of school..so we plan to make a big night of it. Bring your cameras as you will be allowed to video and take photos of your childrne/family with Santa with your OWN camera!!! They have many activities on the square..free popcorn, decorate your own ornament workshops..and many more things for us to enjoy.
Tickets are necessary for all ages 2 and up @ 16 each. Infants are considered to be under 24 months and ride free in lap of parent. Train is heated and weatherproof and will not be cancelled due to weather.

Alabama Today's Girls ROCK!!!!! Alabama Today's Girl held a fundraiser selling Boston Butts to raise money for our Relay for Life team to benefit the Amercian Cancer Society. Our girls raised $1200.00 for the American Cancer Society!!! And will participate in the Relay for Life event this friday night to walk the track in memory of those we have lost to Cancer or in honor of those who have survived this horrible disease! The Mississippi Christmas party will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the home of Teen Queen Ashton Lamoreaux. At 5:30 that evening, we will ride in the Meridian Christmas parade on a TG float custom made and designed by Fileesha Chisolm. (Shout out to Hannah Claire, the newly crowned Mississippi Rodeo Queen and Miss Congeniality!) We would love to have TG girls from other states as well. Hey everyone! This is Marie! The photographer from Natioanals. Just wanted to let those that didn't order pictures and video of nationals know that you still can. Those that didn't get to oreder need to also khow there are a ton of FREE pictures you can download on the website. Stuff from the Hawiaian party, and practice and interview and some misc stuff.

Also, I am going ot start selling consignment pageant clothes only. Talent, casual, formal, party and all that stuff. Trying to make it a one stop pageant kinda place. I am in Cleburne, Tx so let me know if I can help you at all. Eventually and hopefully by the first of next year I will be able to have an ebay store of sorts.

Directors, please visit my website if you need a photog for any of your preliminary's this year and of course, sign up early for state stuff.
