Dear Luiz,

I am not well informed with the Brazilian elections, but from what I read in the news articles, they made it sound as if Lula did more good than bad. These articles may have been a bit biased, I am not sure. I was just wondering why so many people planned on voting him back in if what he did was so wrong. I would think that if the people were that upset with him they would be willing to elect someone new in hope they too can do good for Brazil without scandals. As for people not believing politicians take part in scandals, I believe that some of them do believe Lula was part of it, but they just look past it and tell themselves everyone makes mistakes. Politicians here in the United States misinform, lie, and trick people all the time. I know that it is not on the same level of severity, but the point is all politicians attempt to make themselves look better than their opponents, and to do this they believe little white lies are okay. I am not agreeing nor disagreeing with you, the politicians or the people because I do not have enough background knowledge on the subject, rather I am trying to understand the reasons behind opinions.
