Luiz,
It seems like all countries have corruption and mudslinging in their governments. T.V. stations in Michigan are broadcasting commercials about two candidates currently running for governor. Each candidate tries to put the other in a bad light. This makes it difficult to figure out the truth. How do we know what candidates are really like and what they are really going to do? I guess all we can do, as voters, is use credible sources to investigate as much as possible. Then, make a decision and hope for the best.
If I was voting in Brazil, I have no idea who I would vote for. Lula has been involved with the money scandal. Yet, he created the “Zero Hunger” program for the poor and people say he has controlled inflation. Alckmin, on the other hand, has been described as an elitist and an individual lacking the charisma of Lula. However, he plans to cut taxes and create a more competitive Brazilian economy. Hopefully Brazil will improve with its next president, whoever it may be.
