Subject: We're here

We arrived in Sanibel on Saturday and it's been cold. I've only shelled in the early morning, low tide. Quite a few shells Sun. & Mon. morning, not as many today. I did walk a lot faster today so maybe that's why I didn't find as many, as I said it's really cold, afternoon temp about 61, morning temp about 50. I've found whelks, tulips, apple & lace murex, juvenile horse conch, figs, olives and there are a lot of calico scallops, both pieces. Red algae has almost disappeared. Visited Ding yesterday, saw 2 alligators, grandson was finally happy. Sanibel starting to look like Christmas. No matter how cold Sanibel is, it still feels warm when you are finding shells.
