Kill the his men we have on trial! Wanna bomb our embassies and our military bases? YOU DIE! This bin Laden must be like al-Kalim, the supposed founder of the hashishin, the doped-up assassins! This al-Kalim guy would whip his minions into a frenzy, dope them up (thus the word hashish comes from them, or maybe it's the other way around), then claim to be this immortal that could show them the way to heaven! This "way to heaven" would be to serve al-Kalim, who was in some way connected to heaven, and to kill for al-Kalim! His servants were told to kill even in broad daylight in front of observers. When they were caught and killed for thier crimes, al-Kalim told them, they would be sent to heaven for their service! Dispense with the pleasantries! Kill them and then hunt down bin Laden! We don't want to just kill when we like, just like terrorists. I hate to say it, cause it is the typical fall-back statement in this kind of discussion, but we cannot just do what they do. We have to maintain calm, just to be the "better nation", for lack of a better term. But bin Laden is an exile, remember, so I can't even say "better nation". We are the better, uh, GROUP, I guess. We ask the government to let him go. The government, the Taliban, says nah. We impose sanctions. The government suddenly lashes out against idolitry (sp?) and starts blowing up Buddhist statues all across the country, including the two oldest, largest statues of the Buddha standing in the world. And the couldn't just blow them up. The Taliban had to point out that they blasted off the Buddha's face and genitals first, but they ensure the world that it's nothing against the religion or the US. They just don't like statues anymore. I ain't ready to take to the streets and start burning flags and all that crap, what's with this statue destroying bit? However I think you have a good point on the racist thing. You did nothing more than try to stick up for your country. Anytime anyone stands up for something that resembles American strength, over an oppressed group is deemed racist. It does not even matter who is right or wrong, America is always wrong anymore.
