Look at BP... they spent $50million on commercials to tell everyone they will clean up the Gulf. Of course they're gonna clean up the gulf or they'll never sella drop of gas at their stations. Spend the $50million on people you're screwing in the gulf states.
That is a prime example of the stupidity of big business. Nascar is another one. Think about this:

What if Mike Helton made an announcement like this on Saturday night:, "We know time s are tough for everyone so until the economy picks up, we are going to give away all of our unsold seats tomorrow. If you show up at the track (using one certain gate) you will recieve one free ticket. That means a family can get in and sit together, but we will hand a free ticket to each person. You must enter the track immediately uprecieving the ticket and if you leave the track for any reason, you may not go back in. That will stop scalpers. In fact with your ticket you will also recieve a coupon for one free soft drink."

Nascar will become the first sprt to do something to help fans. You know.. "Lets give the fans a hand" and they'll help their own bottom line AND make themselves look good.
