Larry Mac said something during practice that I had never heard before.... they were talking about the go or go homers and who would make the show and who wouldn't if qualifying was rained out.

Larry said there is an exception to the rule. "The 09 car won last year and if you won last year or in the races of the current year, you are pretty much guaranteed a starting spot."

Have any of you guys ever heard that before? If thats true, who would get bumped? A faster car? A past champ? Thats the first time I have ever heard that winning a race last year gets you into a race this year. The All Star race, yes, but Talladega???? any regular season race?
