On Tuesday I am going for a CT scan on my abdomen. trying to figure out whats causing pain and nausea. we shall see.

Thankfully we're having the best winter I have ever seen. Haven't had to shovel the driveway at all yet this year and no one can remember a year like that. Been cold but not unbearable. I hate wearing my winter coat so I judge how bad the winter is by that. I wear those heavy quilted 'lumberjack' shirts and except for 5 days, thats all I've needed outside this winter. 5 times wearing a winter coat and we're halfway through January. I just know we're gonna get nailed though.

The guy who was interested in the Mello Yello fender seems to have lost interest. He said, "If you ever decide to sell it, let me know because I'll buy it." So I told him I'd sell it and he hasn't emailed back in about 2 weeks. I am trying to get the nerve up to ebay it.

I feel bad for the people in Haiti but for the life of me, I don't understand that country. The poorest country in the western hemisphere, second poorest in the world I think (after Somalia)... but Haiti is part of the island of Hispanola... Dominican Republic is the other half. Dominican is a major tourist destination with a pretty strong economy. They don't take many hand-outs. So why can't the God damn dictators on the other side of the island figure out what they're doing wrong? No building codes. The presidential palace fell down for Christ's sake. I don't mind helping people but Jesus, you gotta help yourselves too. That could be a very wealthy, and therefore much safer country, if they'd just pull their heads out of their asses.
Khadaffi is the dictator of Libya. How does he stay in power? Its really quite brilliant and almost stupidly simple. oil money. Everyone in Libya gets a free home or apartment for life. Free education. free health care. cheap gas. why the hell would they overthrow the bastard? Haiti could do exactly the same thing with tourist dollars but they're too stupid to see that.
