[> Well we always knew that telling Frank was going to be the hardest....but I liked in the preview Denise standing up to Frank & telling him its between her & Jeremy & if she can learn to forgive....Denise is coming into her own IMHO....The show just keeps getting better & better...I loved Denise's telling Jeremy how she & Frank met, & then at the end it was a little thing but when the children had finished their song you got a quick pan of Denise, with her smiling & saying beautiful. I think that was the R/L "mom" in Catherine coming out.. Inside... -- Jennifer, 06:38:33 07/02/07 Mon [1]

I liked how Michael tore up Joan's request for retirement, I liked how in the end Sgt. Belgrad got his military funeral (I think he deserved it, we will never know what these heroes go through, & to judge his entire career on something that a war caused to me isn't right...I guess I'd feel different if he'd killed Roland or Claudia Joy, but he didn't)...I will say I am a little tired of Roxy always looking so trashy. Yes I know that's the character, but really its time to stop with every shirt she wears shows her bra straps, that just really annoys me LOL! Chase being deployed, soon Trevor will be, the show is hitting on the emotions & feelings of this...Loved Claudia Joy's speech at the end!

[> [> Well Twinny, I have to say you said it all for me. I agree totally that Denise is definitely coming into her own and I think we'll see much more of this in future episodes. This was just another all around amazing episode and I too thought it was so cute how Denise told Jeremy how she and Frank met. I was a little saddened for Jeremy when he said that he's so happy his father is coming home and that his father loves his mother very much. He said nothing about himself and his father. There's something there that's not quite right between Jeremy and his Dad. -- KH, 06:59:59 07/02/07 Mon [1]

[> [> [> I LOL at your comment about Roxy. My youngest daughter and I watched it together last night and she said, "O.K. what's up with that girls shirts, they do make halter bras"...LOL. Just a very emotional and wonderful episode, and I do have to say I cried at the scene where Chase left and the looks between Pamela and him, heartwrenching stuff. Take Care! :o) -- KH, 07:00:12 07/02/07 Mon [1]

[> [> [> [> OH, one other thing. It just reinforced why we're Twins Jennifer, because I thought the exact same thing as you when they showed Denise after the children sang. I said, "That is so Catherine"...LOL. :o) -- KH, 07:02:03 07/02/07 Mon [1]

[> [> [> [> [> It was such a little thing, maybe something that was overlooked, but I picked up on the "beautiful" comment right away, & I guess since we've seen Catherine & Gemma together that's the first thing that came to my mind, her even though it was the character, it was Catherine the mother shining through. Yeah when Chase turned around to look at Pamela, you could tell he so wanted to come back & wrap her in his arms, but he couldn't. That whole scene were all the Delta Force's pagers/phones going off & they just silently have to leave without a goodbye was heart-wrenching. -- Jennifer, 07:41:50 07/02/07 Mon [1]

[> [> LOL!!! Yall are too funny!! I also caught Denise saying "beautiful" and thought THE exact same thing-- Catherine would say had it been Gemma up there!! Such a sweet on screen and RL momma!! :-) -- Kristen, 21:17:38 07/03/07 Tue [1]

[> Well said Twinnies. Love that the show isn't sappy. The music, words, acting are so well blended, the emotions just genuinely creep up on you. Love the healing occuring on all fronts this week. Nothing is cut and dry, black or white. So many factors tempt, test, and tug at one's beliefs. This cast is fantastic. They all have weaknesses they are trying to overcome. Love the way they support, teach and go to bat for each other. Most of all I like the way they try to forgive. Grudges and misunderstandings contribute to alot of the world's woes. Although CB was not at the forefront this week she made her usual impact. She really is gifted with screen presence. I look forward to the Sherwood household dynamics next week. This excellent production make you think, and leaves you wanting more! -- Jubellant (Roxie has to be out there, clothes included, LOL), 11:25:10 07/02/07 Mon [1]

[> [> I know Roxy has to be "out" there, but you could have her wear halter tops & achieve the same effect IMHO...Its not necessary to have her bra straps (and different colors they are) showing every episode, that to me is pretty trashy, & I would think on an Army Post someone "might" have something to say about it. I mean they were giving citations for painting on the lawn for goodness sake LOL! I think Roxy needs to be toned down just a tick.... -- Jennifer, 20:12:50 07/02/07 Mon [1]

[> [> [> Maybe exposing the bra straps is the female version of the guys that go around with their low riding pants and exposed underwear. Just a thought/observation, not condoning or condemning. I hear what you ladies are saying but am noticing that trend especially on the tennis courts when the sports bra does not match the neckline of the top. It will be interesting to see if Roxy's character evolves too in the series. Usually stuff like that makes me raise my eyebrows a bit but somehow on Roxie it just seems liberating. The micro jean skirt bugs me more because I'm thinking how can she move comfortably wearing that! LOL! -- Jubellant, 05:57:22 07/03/07 Tue [1]

[> [> [> [> That whole showing of the different colored bra straps is in with the young girls now-a -days. The thing is I notice it with the high schoolers and some college agers. I know she's young, but because she's a married woman now, fully grown with two kids. I would have thought Roxy wouldn't go for that look now...but then again that is the look that works for her at the bar so I fully understand why she'd stay with the tip maker. -- Carrotts - it is all about the economics, kinda. [> This was another terrific episode and I loved the interaction between Denise and Jeremy and Denise and Claudia when Claudia comes to tell Denise that Frank is alive. Good stuff and loved the speech at the end. I have to agree with the whole bra thing and her jean skirt is scary as well..lol. She needs a new wardrobe. I love the whole cast with CB being my favorite of course, but Roxy is my least favorite. -- Kathy, 07:57:55 07/03/07 Tue [1]

[> Really suprised at how good this show is, hate to say it I'm loving it more than Jag (shock, horror!). The characters are just so real and I like all of them, which is unusual as there's usually one that grates. As for Roxy, if we try try to change her, then she won't be Roxy...like she says to Trevor, "difficult is how I am" (or whatever). Next weeks episode is going to be a cracker, altho' I feel for Denise as it's all going to heap on her shoulders :(. The chemistry between her and Frank is fab, even tho' he's had so little on screen time. The story about how they met was so sweet. -- Ixia, 10:15:33 07/03/07 Tue [1]

[> [> What I love about AW vs.J AG is that in JAG, Mac's strength was always being undermined, be it in the courtroom, in relationships, or in gaining the respect of CO's. Contrarily in AW she is continually growing. You can see the character becoming more and more empowered each week. Sarah had an outward strength whereas Denise's strength has been more internal, thusfar. It's only in it's infant stages but AW has managed to keep it's quality up there week after week. I'm so looking forward to the Denise/Frank/Jeremy arc. What Claudia said about growth but not necessarily together is so true. I think Frank will be surprised by his wife becoming more vocal. We haven't gotten much of a chance to see them interact as a couple like the other Army Wives (Roland included). -- Jubellant, 14:34:01 07/03/07 Tue [1]

[> [> [> Nothing will ever replace JAG for me, & Mac will always be my favorite character that Catherine has potrayed. But I like Denise too, & am liking her more each week as she unravels & starts finding herself. I agree that I think there's going to be a little conflict with Frank, because Denise isn't going to be the "little wife" he left behind who I believe for the most part in their marriage was seen & not heard. But I think Frank will be okay, & I'm looking forward to Denise evolving each week. -- Jennifer, 08:41:12 07/04/07 Wed [1]

[> [> [> Excellent post Jubellant! I couldn't agree more with your analogy between the two characters. I'm really looking forward to Denise/Jeremy/Frank story arc as well and it is going to be great seeing Denise continue to grow and evolve for the rest of the season. I think that's one of the differences in my opinion between JAG and Army Wives, in that on Army Wives, everyone is written so well and so unique in their own way and one isn't made to look bad or be belittled to make the other look better. They each compliment each other and it's very refreshing. Again Great Post! Take Care! :o) -- KH, 20:05:26 07/04/07 Wed [1]
