Subject: I buy Joan's slip up only because it's myriad of things that are affecting her, and not just the separation with Roland. In the space of just a few months, she's come home from a warzone riddled with guilt for allowing a little girl to be brutalized and murdered, she's had the Belgrad situation, treatment for PTSD, and then finds out Roland couldn't keep it in his pants while she was off trying to get the treatment that he recommended. That's a lot for one person to take on. If it was just the thing with Roland or Belgrad alone I'd agree with you, but it's all of those things built up.
In reply to: Jubellant 's message, "Sadly, only one episode to go, boo hiss! I loved Denise's role this week although she wasn't the heart of the storyline. Loved how she reached out to Joan and how she intuitively was able to read between the lines. She qualified she was Roland's friend but that did not stop her from calling him out on his behaviour and demonstrating there was a cost for his choices. She was not about to carry on the friendship as if nothing had happened. She actually got him to look a little ashamed instead of projecting everything onto his wife. Glad she pointed out that Joan looked really hurt because up to now it seemed for him to be all about himself. How could insignificant Lenore get to CJ? I was glad that Denise reminded her who has been there from the beginning." on 08:33:43 08/20/07 Mon

[> I'm also disappointed in Roland's behaviour & his indifferent attitude. I also am tired of them making Joan the screw-up, like because she's a woman she can't handle the job when something personal gets in the way. That bothered me last night, but I'm glad Joan was able to fix things. I don't know if Roland himself is suffering some sort of PST, but he just seems to have done a complete 180 & isn't the Roland that I loved the first couple of episodes. Yeah was a little disappointed that the ep was Denise lite, but her impact was felt, especially when she told Claudia Joy that she could trust her. Its gotta be tough for Denise to know the truth behind Roland & Joan's separation, & though she ackowledges Roland's cheating, Denise also isn't taking sides. I was also kinda mad at Chase, but he redeemed himself my apologizing to Pamela. I can't believe there's only one ep left!
