Thanks for noticing the negativity was coming from one with a motive to promote another pageant.

I will say its my sister in law who wrote the comment about sketchy. It is her opinion, she only wanted to express it. I am not getting in the middle of it, two of dd's attend this pageant differnet years and both times my sister in law had issues. That is between the director and her, not me. She uses my computer since she does not have her own. In NO way am I trying to promote any pageants. My daughter and neices have been involved with a lot of pageants around the state. This was a system I heard great things about from other pageant moms my dd is friends with. I base pageants on my dd's experiences not others. On my own note, I was a little disapointed when the pageant was moved to the beginning of April. I promised my dd that she could do this system for her birthday. I emailed the director over the summer to see when they held it and was told the end of April. Since its now the beginnig of April my dd will not be old enough. This is my fault and I should not of promised my dd before finding out the final date of the pageant. We may go watch since one of my dd's friends is a current queen and we know others who may attend. Yes my dd does attend 2 pageants out of state, but the other 7 she does are in Maine. My dd and myself do like NES's pageants, each girl no matter ability leave feeling like a true princess no matter how young or old. Its a very friendly atmosphere. Rates are very resasonable. We car pool with other Maine pageant families and share rooms. My sister in law posted a post asking others opinions on Sweetheart. She did not want only mine. My dd and myself do like Maine systems too. There are things I like and dislike about each system, but its not about me, its about my dd. She enjoys pageants and asks to do them. She helps pay for them with her own money. In NO WAY have I tried to start negativity about any system or promote any more then others. The late fall through early spring there are not many systems in Maine for the younger girls, so that is why we go out of state. Happy New Year

The word sketchy has such negative connotations. Did something specific happen?

Please give directors a chance before posting negative comments about their pageants.

And she's doing NINE others anyway. I doubt she'll notice not entering this one. Silly.

As far as keeping tack of months, yes she knows what month is what. My husband works out of state, she has a big calendar with special dates on it. She knows her birthday is in April and she is turning 5. She has asked several times to do a pageant for it. I was trying to find a pageant in the month of April for her to do. It was my mistake to assume the pageant was going to be at the end of April after her birthday. I did email the director last summer. And for those who want to make an issue out of it, YES, she did cry when I told her she could not do EM this year. She could care less about what system it was, she enjoys making new friends, being on stage, and having fun. OH WELL, she isn't doing it. Please stop trying to make issues out of anything.
