I just emailed Jayna, the director of the Eastern Maine Pageant. I have known her for a couple of years since my daughter has been a contestant in her pageant. My daughter LOVES competing in this system and I LOVE the personal attention she gets before the competition. She has never had to wonder where to go or stand or walk. Jayna or her sister Dawn are very willing to assist the girls and answer any questions from mothers or contestants. Jayna replied back saying she is not aware of any mother ever having any issues with her pageant that has ever been brought to her attention. Also she said that she has to choose a date for her pageants based on the school's availability and her own schedule and that of her family's. But why on Earth would one "promise" their daughter a pageant for their birthday so far in advance that a date hadn't even been set???? Especially when the daughter already enters nine pageants a year? And by reading the post, if your daughter is not old enough to enter, then she is under five years old! Most five year old prefers a Dora toy over a pageant. But I know Jayna does not mind emailing people back if they contact her with questions.
