Ad sales: Ad sales are an unnecessary expense for many pageant contestants. Who really wants a "bought" title like Miss Hospitality? Some pageants require that X number of pages be sold. Why not just raise the entry fee?

Banner: Don't you hate it when a winner receives a banner and the letters or stars or whatever fall right off? Directors should have nice banners for their queens!

Internet banners should be looked over carefully before posting to any website. Remember all the hullabalu a few months back over the teen and her bikini top?! We haven't seen that picture again lately.

Boutique: This is a word used a lot on ebay for the seller to try to get more money for outgrown pageant clothes!

Casual Wear: In pageant-speak, in my opinion, is a NICE outfit, just a step or two down from formal wear. Capris may be cute for the little ones, but older contestants should dress up a bit more.

Coach: A coach is anyone who helps prepare a girl for a pageant. Can be an English or drama teacher, dance instructor, former queen, etc. Everyone should have someone to help them prepare, but it doesn't necessarily have to be someone they pay.

Cupcake: A 2-piece dress is great for a little one who is going to grow quickly! For anything you're going to spend that much on, you should be able to get more than one wear out of!

Glitz: A type of pageant that encourages lots of make-up. Does anyone really think this benefits young girls?!

Grand: A phrase to confuse the audience about who the real winner is.

Natural: The kind of pageant that makes sense

I'll try to share more later. Please post your opinions, too! (Remember, these are just my opinions.)
