Chapter 26 - The Boy

Some Irish boys from Divis Flats in the 70's.

Thank you Elaine for a wonderful discussion and photos to match!

I thought I would post some questions, some photos and some quotes over the next week. Please feel free to add anything else that you would like to.

1. Casey thought that "Flip" was his opportunity to square himself with the uiniverse. What do you think? What did you think of Flip AKA Lawrence upon first meeting him?

"Na, the boy said, "readin' is a waste of time. It's all pretend isn't it, words? Don't mean much on the streets." Pg. 235

"Yer safe from him here, I'll not let anything happen to ye," Casey said gently. Pg. 241

Chapter 27 - When the Evening Falls

1. A new and intriguing story has been revealed - the disappearance of Robin's younger sister Jo when she was twelve years old. Do you have any comments as to where this will lead or the importance of it to Robin and Casey?

"She was three years younger, no more than a scrap of bones an' skin, with a mop of haid like her brother an' a pinched little face that had never known much more than unremittin' misery." Pg. 249

"So even now he doesn't know what happened to his sister?" Page 250
