Subject: I don't know if this is applicable to the situation between Casey & Pamela, but from personal observation, I have noticed that people in marriages that have (cough) issues, they sometimes bring third parties into the situation (friends with troubles that move in with them, for example)....and it seems like it is often a buffer for their own problems. I've seen this happen often. I wondered if Lawrence might have been...intentional or not....a buffer for them. They were able to focus on helping him, rather than on the as yet uncovered strains within their marriage.
In reply to: Elaine 's message, "She does seem older than her years, I agree. She always did seem older. But I still don't think it's good to take in a teenager until you really know and understand teenagers in general, and troubled teenagers in particular. It is sure a whole 'nuther world. That's just a personal thing from one who has taken in older foster children, including one named Lawrence (Little Larry in our house). Now I'm straying too far from the conversation! This part of the storyline hits particularly close to home with me, so I probably shouldn't speak to it, sorry." on 17:07:35 08/10/09 Mon
