My comment today probably will not exaclty relate to the chapter but it definately relates to our class. After my tutroing/interviewing session with a mother whose child is struggling in school (failed 1 time in the fourth and 1 time in the sixth), one must remember that sometimes just not knowing the material is not the reason for the student's academic failur.There is so much that goes into a child's success (good self esteem and self efficacy) in school, that we as educators and professionals must realize we have to educate and help the whole child, not just focus on the academic performance aspect
