>We have just had second letter regarding 2009 fees. This threatens court action if we don't pay by 10am tomorrow (letter arrived today!). After a very unhappy holiday last year and a high pressure sell concerning infiniti points which ended when we made it quite clear we just wanted to sell our 2 weeks floating time (the salesman asked what we were trying to sell as we didn't actually own anything!?) we informed Petchey Leisure that we wished to cancel our membership. To cut a long story short two weeks ago they told us they have no policy allowing cancellation of membership. My husband is worried about his credit rating being affected as he is self-employed and so his credit rating is very important. Anyone any experience of what will happen if we hold out and refuse to pay? Would a court find in our favour? After all we are quite happy to just give our ownership back despite the thousands of pounds paid to buy the timeshare. Surely legally even if we lost all they are entitled to is repossession of the timeshare?
