If anyone wants to send cards or flowers please email me and I will give you her mailing address. So much has been happening, I cant contain my excitement. I have some absolutely phenomenal news and I am just dying to share it! Yesterday I was contacted by a lady from and organization called Helping Other People Excel (HOPE). She was inspired by Oprah's Give Big or Go Home and has decided to Give Big to Tammy and the girls! She has submitted this to the Oprah show and should it be chosen by the producers Tammy, Candice, Jessica and the volunteers from the benefit could be going to the Oprah Winfrey Show! I think I am still in shock. It doesnt matter to me if we go to the show or not, I'm just honored that someone would be inspired to help us with our endeavor. So as I know more, you will know more. LOL One thing I do know is that HOPE is holding a charity Womens Lifestyle Show the day after Tammys benefit. This will be held at the Moose Lodge in Pekin (I can send you more info if needed). All proceeds raised from this event will be donated to Tammy and the girls! So, we need your support. Spread the word! Lets get as many people as we can to get in touch with HOPE and show them our support! I will see if theres a web site we can visit or how to email them. Please, when choosing music for your childs routines, choose something age appropriate.
I have seen many times where the conversations after a pageant are more about the choice of music, rather than how well the child did on stage.
I will also tell you that it states right in my rules that their talent should be age appropriate, as well as all clothing. This includes your choice of music.
Please keep this in mind if you decide to compete at state in July.

Please do not be intimidated at the thought of competing against others who choose to have h/m.
We have specific rules regarding h/m.
0-4 is allowed light lip color and blush ONLY! They are allowed to wear fake hair as a matter of convenience.
5 & up can have it all, BUT IT IS NOT NECESSARY.
As of right now, there is no one attending to do h/m for the DeSoto pageant. Miss Tricia has offered to come, but ONLY if she has enough contestants booked. Theres no guarantee she will be there.
I dont know what age group your dd is in, or why you felt you should address this on the blue board and not directly to me, but I could have given you the names of moms who would give you first hand knowledge of what my pageants are like.
I hope you choose to join us. The early deadline is today. If your deposit is not postmarked by midnight tonight there is a late fee added.

She saw the Disney Jackets and the Crowns for the upcoming pageants and wants to compete. She said "I miss pageants". I would sponsor her myself, but that is a conflict of interest. So, I am looking for a few good people who would maybe pitch in to sponsor her for the Waukegan pageant. I suggest this one since Tricia will be there for H/M and I'm sure this is a luxury she would like to have. I dont know how everyone feels about something like this and I would not put anyone on the spot. If you would like to help, you can either post it, or email me privately. I thought if a few kinds souls were willing to pitch in a few bucks, we could get enough for her entry fees and maybe an optional. It has been brought to my attention that the registration form for both the upcoming Regionals is incorrect.
The overalls are: OVERALL MOST BEAUTIFUL & OVERALL R/W/B WEAR. The registration form omits Most Beautiful and has Overall OOC. This is incorrect. I want to inform everyone now and will go over this again at registration.

Judges for the State pageant will be a mixture of those who have judged for me before, and those who have never seen a beauty pageant. I will be meeting with them one week prior to the pageant to discuss scoring, rules, deductions, and what we are looking for when watching the child on stage. We will hopefully have 7 judges. The highest and lowest scores will be dropped and we will average the remaining 5 scores. Should we have fewer judges, the same system will apply, still dropping highest and lowest. If we have an even number of judges, only lowest score will be dropped. Please let me know if you have any questions now. I don't want anyone upset after the pageant and to say they did not know. Yet again someone has questioned my sincerity and integrity. If anyone would like a statement of where your money from my pageants goes, just ask. I dont know who thinks I am making all kinds of money from holding these pageants, but it simply is not true. I put every dime into the pageant itself or it goes directly to the charity. I can always give the contestants less and donate more. If that would help ease the minds of some I can revamp the system and do that. Every child gets a crown and gift at my pageant. I can eliminate these awards as well if necessary. Who ever is trying to discredit me, I hope you never attend one of my pageants. Next to a liar, I cant stand a hypocrite. I have placed a photo on my web site of the Disney Princess Ariel Denim Jackets I ordered last night for the upcoming Regionals. Since I have no idea how many will enter, I ordered limited quantities. These will be awarded based on when you get your entry forms in. I have placed an option on the online entry form for your childs t-shirt/jacket size. This does not guarantee you will receive a jacket. Okay ladies, I know I was planning on having my state pageant in June, but unfortunately I just didn't find the time to dedicate to it while I was pregnant and there are alot of pageants planned for June now, so it probably wouldn't have been the best month anyways.
With all that has gone on lately on boards with bashing and low numbers at most pageants nationwide, I am wondering if there is still a need for my system.
I truly love directing pageants, but dont' want to provide a "product" that isn't needed.
SO...
I need to know if there is still any interest in my system in order to hold a state pageant
AND IF SO...
Which month would be better for the state pageant August, September, or October.

Because of the way divisions are split, I have made a change to the rules. If your child knows how to model, they will not have points deducted. But because the 3&4 yr olds are in the same division, it will be easier for our judges to know what rules apply simply by the age division they are judging, rather than having to tell the childs age every time they are on stage. Ed was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was
really angry. She told him, 'Tomorrow morning I expect to find a gift in
the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less then 6 seconds AND IT
BETTER BE THERE!!'

The next morning Ed got up early and left for work. When his wife woke
up she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box
gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on
her robe and ran out to the driveway, and brought the box back in the
house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Ed has been missing since Friday. Please pray for him.

I would like to share with you all how proud I am of my Royalty. Each year we (ABP) help assemble Easter Baskets for a local foster Home. Last year we were asked to take over the project and I have to say it has been a hard road as our economy is not the best right now to get donations. Yesterday everyone worked for 8 hard, non-stop hours and produced almost 700 baskets!!! We also were able to donate some to a local nursing home as well. I know everyone was hungry, exhausted and hurt everywhere but they kept going so that others would have a happy Easter and I am sooo proud of them and just wanted to share their good deed with you.
