Hey Big Brother...

I don't think its morbid you wanting an answer, and I believe it to be serious for our schools in our nation to make sure they watch in all grade levels, if they can, for warning signs that would lead students to want to kill themselves or for students to want to bully equal or underclassmates.

I would like to say that the bullying is for a cheap thrill to get what our generation calls "a charge out of it" to hurt fellow students, to see if they can and get away with it.

I believe sometimes contributing to this is problems at home, like both parents having problems with their marriage or failure at jobs, etc. and maybe taking things out on their kids to cause bad behavior or kids see their parents act bad at home and feel its alright for them to copy and no harm to them for misbehavor at school and some kids see it as a "thrill seeking" thing to do, but don't realize the hurt they can cause to other student or themselves, which of course would lead to them getting punished in the principals office with punishments of detention, paddling, or serious enough to be exspelled from school!

I guess I missed of the news reporting of the those kids harming themselves and did see on the news or read in the newspapers about others, but rest assured at our high school there are teachers who bring this up in our homerooms, health/gym classes, social studies and even government classes about the "harm and pain it will cause for students doin it to themselves or fellow students!"

That's stick to gang rape a girl or kick a dude or girl in the head with steel toe boot or bully,etc. There's no real point doing so, unless the attackers are thrill-seekers or trying to go as far as they can without getting caught.

Other times I think these students are on drugs and never taught they should use drugs illegally, etc,. and the results if they do for going to jail/prison, etc.

We've had some bully going on in high school, but the students doing this stuff are from broken homes, etc. and trying to get a attention, and other stuff.

While growing up Rick, I was bullied in grade school and some in Middle School, and depended my Kyle helping me some of the time and me helping him, when we both got labeled by a few students doing this stuff. Most famous for me was "Momma's Boy" because of my small size, until I got bigger to try to defend myself. Worst for me was in Middle School I had a kid pick on me and throw me to the ground, a bully, and left with me a sprained arm. That kid got his butt paddled, parents hauled in to tell them to teach him manners as it showed they were not or he would be kicked out of school. That was 7th grade when that happened. I soon had my body starting to grow and things turned around for me!
I had bully going on in grade school, KYle fought some of my battles a few times, resulting him trying to prove he was defending me and I was backing him up to try to help get him off from being punished, but he mostly still got his butt paddled anyway. I soon tried fighting my own battles, won some with out getting punished, etc.

That's why alot of kids in school nationwide are out of control harming themselves or others, because they know most of the time no harm will come to them, unless they get caught somehow and then get detention or have to face a paddle swatting their butt! If given choice, some will take the detention to avoid the paddling and I believe more school policies should allow for more paddling and not alot of detentions to really put the fear into students minds to not do alot of the crazy things they are doing.

Wow Rick, a kid hung themselves? Was they on drugs or something? That makes me sick to my stomach.

I tell you Big BRother, I will never bully a student, etc. as I was taught it's wrong at home, etc., besides knowing I could get paddled or worse,kicked out of school!

Just a thought, Sean, Cody and I didn't bully Kyle in the barn last week in your eyes, did we? I know Kyle had big thoughts about getting my little butt paddled on April 1, but that was really his way of thinking to "look back on the year before in a way", but I don't think he was bullying me, do you?

So I guess my answers to your questions are above for the root of such behavior of kids today? Am I right?
