Dave's been out the past 3 evenings on work & when he gets home he's bushed after long days but know he'll touch base with you later this week.

Are you sure dude you don't want to call this off. You've been through one hell of an experience and just from off the cuff remarks, I know Dave is taking this whipping you got real hard. He implied that maybe this whole thing was somehow his fault suggesting way back you get buddies into the trading swats over games or bets like we use to do that led to the earlier curiosity for the strap & gave grandpa the idea.

Joel, the challenge was really a game to motivate you that now appears to have led to something more serious than any game. It's not worth it Joel in light of what happened in the barn. If something like that would have happened to Dave, I'd kick his ass if he was too dense to go immediately to mom & dad & open up. Please dude, go to your dad & spill it. Grandpa needs help now, not later. If this bums out the challenge then so be it. You're more important than any damn challenge or whipping. You know what the real feels like so getting one from dad can be put off or never. If it makes you feel better, I can talk Dave into taking a paddling for the one you got in the barn & you can say you won the challenge. I don't want to mess up your family and especially around Christmas having you spill it all but this can not be delayed Joel. If it happens by chance later with dad, so be it, and it might. Right now Joel, there is a bigger problem that cries to be resolved. You've proven yourself the young man to step up to the plate when a homer was needed to win; to take it to the end zone or make 3 pts from outside when the team needs it. The time has come dude for you to make a victory decision for the most important team out there---Team Joel. I'm counting on you 'little bro' to be man enough to stand up & do what's right. I don't have the right to tell you what to do, it must be your decision, but I'm asking you to make me proud by making that tough decision NOW. You're carrying more than a whipped ass in your boxers, so prove it.
