Well Joel, turning 21 has always been a milestone I think. It being August & college would be starting up soon, some best friends of both Dave & I talked about getting together. Dave said one of his friends needed a lift & so we'd stop at his place to pick him up. When we got there he said he wasn't ready so come on in & once inside, the trap they laid for me was sprung. Thinking we were heading to a friend's lake cabin for a cookout & brews turned into a surprise birthday butt whackin for me by Dave & 4 of our friends. There was even the old paddle our dad had used years back to beat our butts as kids that Dave had planted with his friend. It was all good nature fun as they told me to lay over the back of the rec room couch & I went along since birthday paddlings were a tradition but I had not had one since my 18th, 3 years earlier. Dave reminded me I had spanked his bare butt on his 19th back in May & it was now time for him to strip my butt for the 21+1 with dad's old paddle. Two guys held my shoulders as Dave pulled down the beach shorts I was wearing & each guy in turn took 4 swings with the paddle. Talk about memories, dad had not used the paddle since I was probably 13, using a belt instead. My butt red whupped and then the finale was the 21st & one to grow on was me being plunked bare bottom like a kid over Dave's sitting lap. We had a damn good laugh then and party soon after but they had left me a sore butt all evening to remember.
