*Jumps up on Raven's soap box* Good points, and good example of proper roleplaying. The only problem I see is that some people *don't* do that, and they just post "Bob shoots Ted in the arm." instead of something more eloquent. I am sure everyone is capable of such posts, both the good and the bad. I suppose the correct path to take would not to be to make more rules and further restrict a game, but rather, reward those people who take the effort and encourage those who don't. I stand by Raven on this one (funny...just a week or so ago I was yelling at you and had you at gunpoint.... interesting how things change, huh?), IF people will make the effort. So, maybe dice roll would be too controlling for everyday actions, but I *still* think that anything major, such as a bombing, needs some justification, either approval from someone or a dice roll or something. But, as I understand it, hopefully the Presidents, Loki and Tsunami, will grasp better control over their governments once this sorts out a bit, so there won't be, "Bob the rebel bombs and detroys the Fed hall," and it's accompanying retaliation: "Ted the Fed bombs and destroys the Rebel hall, taking Bob prisoner." Obviously these are examples of very poor roleplaying, but I have seen it happen and would rather this game didn't turn into one of those whose sole purpose whose point is to get yourself a boyfriend and girlfriend (and I am dead serious... those games exist, and it is possible to play them to the intent for which they were created, but most people have themselves as the beautiful highly-attractive, smart, perfect young woman looking for a husband or something. I hate those. No offense, anyone.....). So, my last statement, before I give this soapbox back to Raven or whoever owns or wants it is: (drum roll, please) MAKE THE EFFORT!!!!! (and raven: I have had that thing about the posts happen a billion times -I have about chucked my computer out the window about as many times for the same reason- and I always always copy everything I post so I won't lose it. I did a 3 page essay for a report and tried to send it in email, my connection died, and I lost it. *sob*. Good luck in your posting future...)
