(growl. I typed up this very nice long explanitory paragraph with all the points I wanted to cover and which took a very long time and it got DELETED....It is so..frustrating!!...arrrggg!! Plus it was my fault, not the computors, which makes it worse..now I have to go about complaning to myself.*sigh* ok. here we go AGAIN..)

Alright. I agree with most of Meridian's points except the dice.
One thing I like about this game out of the Dreamscape Rpg's is that it is so active. There have been a few times when players were online at the same time, and had a relay of posts. If there was a shoot-out or some other form of fighting, it would be difficult to continue, scince would have to wait to for the results. Also, the owner obviouisly cannot get on every day, and there may be days when we have to wait for results to a simple shooting.

I agree there should be no powerplaying and should be fair. The way I prefer to fight, as I belive someone already mentioned, is to state your own actions, but let the opponent choose how they are effected. But this requires a certain amount of responsibility of both parties. They must each react in a realistic manner, allowing their character to become injured accordingly.

For example:
Raven raises her pistol, dodging as a rock explodes next to her, and aims carefully through the dust, firing two shots at Whoever then rolling quickly back into the cover of the large boulders at her side.

In this post, I allowed my opponent to decide their outcome. Raven was distracted, and did not have a clear shot through the dust, but then again, she could be lucky. My opponent decides this, but should keep in mind that they should allow Raven some credit of her shot, even if small. People MUST occasionally get hurt.

Here is a suitable reply from 'Whoever':
Peering through the clouds of dust, he catches a glimpse of Raven's figure, ducking quickly as she fires, the first shot whizzing over his head. The second shot grazes his upper arm deeply, and he doubles over, clutching it, but not before firing a single shot at Ravens retreating form.

In both posts, there was an allowance. 'Whoever' was injured, but not badly. Both characters had something inhibiting their shots, which is realistic. Niether assumed the 'invincible' positon. Of course there are some things characters are better at than others, and this should come into effect. For example, if you, when you joined, presumed your character was going to be an accomplished spy, and a good rouge, there should be something that the character is not that good at, like flying. [these are not Raven's statistics..I cant you *that!* ;o)]
When you fight, don't change this, or your character would appear invincible.
But the difficulty may be that people who play this way must be mature, responsible and fair in the way they play it out. Not everyone can play this way. (I personally belive that you all could do it and know others of you can and do)

Well, my message USED to be longer, and I incooperated another point, but I will do that later, and make sure this gets posted before I delete *again*

(hopps off her soap box)
