It’s a movie.

English speaking, French made in India, 1998, reasonably well acted with very impressive cinematography.

A drama with a dash of comedy, a story of a group of people and a troupe of monkeys and their interaction. A bit deeper than Disney…. anyway…

My point is the similarity of actions and emotions of the people and the monkeys…. ok …. so the first thing you’ll say is… it’s a movie so the human script writers and filmmakers are bound to impart human-ness into the monkeys! … sure! … but there is more to it I think.

The closing credits named 3 trained monkeys and no doubt the other 40 or so in the troupe were wild yet comfortable around humans, I saw only one animatronic monkey.... it’s just that one can see so many human traits and mannerisms in the monkeys…. or is that monkey traits in us? I find the wrinkles of skin around the knuckles very impressive…. both look to be exactly the same

To look at monkeys and say that they are not related to us… seems quite ridiculous!!! …. after all we’re both tetrapods... but then so are whales.

…. let’s go totally crazy for a moment and say that god did make us ….. if so, then why would he make monkeys so similar to us??
