Subject: Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, they gave the scores from the second and remaining judges in order of how the competitions numbers appeared on the screen from judge 1. Example- judge 1 have number 6 100 pts, judge 2 gave them 20pts, that score was called out first for judge 2s results

  • Logically the scores should more or less follow the same pattern so the result scores would reflect 1st from top, then 2nd onwards down. I know they differ but generally this keeps the running order of places (more or less), so visually easier to follow, in numerical order it would be more confusing as the board moves, you couldn’t really keep track of the shift in places.
