Subject: RANDY'S "MUSHROOM" HAIRSTYLE & A REAL NEVERLAND

Hello Randy!

Although I too am a fan of Sir Barrie's timeless story of youth and innocence, I must admit I am really more comfortable with the kind of Pan seen this summer at the Tuacahn (Mayan: Valley of the Gods) outdoor theater in the red sandstone canyons near Saint George, Utah.
That Pan was a rugged looking young man with a stylishly un-styled, wild, haircut.
Watching this Peter Pan was to see a skateboard Thrasher Punk flipping aerial tricks without his board while singing most remarkable songs!
He was the best Pan I had ever seen: hardcore to the point of being painfully gored by Hook.
Your embodiment of Pan left me thinking: JOEY RAMONE (RIP dear punk rocker)DOES PETER PAN! I think this is primarily due to your endearing Beatles/Mushroom hairstyle (I sported the mushroom when I was in my 20's during the heyday of disco and glam-rock of the 70's and 80's).
Pan was a much needed inspiration to me when I was teaching myself how to fly the first generation hang gliders of the mid-seventies.
I was "infected by Pan's bag of fairy dust" after just one ride on Disneyland's Peter Pan attraction in 1964. Prior to Pan's influence I was simply "interested" in the "man-in-a-can" type of flying that was really more navigation and management than the REAL, RUN OUT THE WINDOW, AND OFF THE ROOFTOPS type of flying Peter did!
It all came with a very high price though. My group of friends quickly earned our bravado filled squadron name of THE NYD: NOT YET DEAD.
Those years were a mixture of spiritual exhilaration and soul numbing loss and fear.
WE WERE THE EMBODIMENT OF THE LOST BOYS FLYING AROUND THE NEVERLAND, ARIZONA DESERTS.
In my Peter Pan many of the Lost Boys could be and were killed by a Captain called Circumstance & Error.
When Wendy stole all of the Lost Boys out of Neverland and left Peter all alone crying out a sad song on a mountaintop: WELL, THAT WAS PROOF TO ME THAT FAIRY TALES CAN COME TRUE.
ROCK ON SWEET SPIRIT. YOU ARE AN AMUSING INSPIRATION FOR PAN-FANS ACROSS THE WORLD!
