Goodness, I'm so glad to find someone else who still enjoys playing at pretending......
As a younger child (16 can't possibly count as adult, despite what the train tickets say), I loved to pretend to be someone who I'm not, someone who can do things I can't, someone who lives in a place that is more exciting than my own home....
Guess what!? I still do!! (But now I also draw and write my own stories.....)
....I love 'dressing up' too....as a geisha in Oriental-style clothing or as an Opheila-like madwoman in flowing white dresses.

Have you actually read the original book by JM Barrie? Because Tinkerbell would have a very hard time finding you, seeing as though she dies in the book, and Peter forgets all about her, and his adventures when he defeated Captain Hook! Disney's version of Peter Pan ends too soon, it doesn't let you know about what happens afterwards. Read the book, if you haven't already. It is much better than the film.

this website is awesome! i am a drag king performer from texas and love anyone and everyone who isn't afraid of not "fitting in." i have a shirt that says "i engage in inappropriate age and gender behavior" and some of what peter said about being forever young really hit home. i don't beleive that it's inappropriate to be forever young at all (i still wear the t-shirt though). in fact, it's the people who are forever young and not afraid of breaking the rules who make this world fun to live in. also, i totally agree with peter's views on how "being male" has been turned into a sort of god by modern society. that's part of the reason i am a drag king. it's fun to be yourself while making others rethink their own views and opinion. you go peter and your pixie-self!

I think that it is very impressive that you are willing to dress like that and show creativity and be different from the average person. Well, I can't say that I find myself drawn to your life-style, but I certainly admire your persistent optimism. A classmate of mine directed me to this site, and though I think it's more amusing than anything else, I can see from the numerous posts that other people relate to it and even find it useful.

When I think of elves, I picture them more like the elves in the recent movie The Fellowship of the Ring. Even before seeing the movie, I never gave much heed to the idea of elves as short and "pixyish." Each to his own, though.

I also play guitar, and I listened to your music, which nobody else (of the posts I read) mentioned it. It sounds pretty good. Would you compare yourself to Sappho, the Greek female poet who was ostracized for being a homosexual and a woman? I mean, she created art and she swam against the current of the socially accepted norms.

Well, this is a long enough message already, keep flying high.
