All this chat makes me laugh. Whoever does not like Liege does not have to go. I believe the cost of the venue is an issue as since Covid, venues have put up their prices. Düsseldorf was great in its time but would not be suitable now and they also wanted 180k for the venue when wida went back to them. Killarney only suits the Irish and is only appropriate every 5 years as Ireland is so expensive now that many people cannot afford to travel there. If you want to find what is going on then volunteer to join one of the many committees that wida has formed to ease the work out to a larger group. I am on one and it seems that finding a venue under 100k is now a serious problem and that is before the costs of trophies and medals, adjudicators, hotels and musicians are thought about. Keyboard warriors love to moan in anonymity without knowing any of the FACTS. By the way, were wida not in Düsseldorf for four years in a row?
