I now understand why SG gets so annoyed all the time. Whoever is writing that thoughts should be listened to needs to check the mirror. If WIDA and SG listened to every person about THEIR choice or idea for a venue the worlds would be in Bali, Florida, Turkey and Timbuktu. You all want it in your backyard and get shirty when it’s not. Tough, WIDA has to make a decision that suits the entire organization and not just the few moaners in England and Ireland. If you are not happy with their choice then don’t go but the events WIDA run suit as many people as possible and of course not everyone will be happy but that is life. I am a teacher within the organization and don’t always agree with the decisions reached or made but I have yet to see in my opinion a decision that is made to benefit a particular school or dancer. The Worlds just completed listed 24 different schools winning world titles from several different countries and I will,happily stay where I am as long as my dancers are happy and the organization continues to support them and their dreams.
