kids and even teenager's and adult's cant be expected to learn 2 or 3 new dances in a few weeks. thats why theres a 28 day grace period so any dancer who moves up in that time but was already entered for a feis can still dance in the grade they just moved up from. and yet every feis we see the same 'oh so and so is cheating they moved up 3 weeks ago and they still danced in intermediate blah blah'. tired of it.

obviously if there actually is cheating that must be addressed but 9/10 times its just some dancer that was unfortunate enough to have 2 feis so close together. and yes i know how it feels as my daughter was unfairly targetted after moving up in short notice and she felt quite embarassed and was worried other dancers would think she was cheating even though she had no choice as she didnt know the next dances.

so please before all the inevitable finger pointing this weekend to every dancer who won at heart of england a few weeks ago please get your facts straight!!

- It doesn't work like that. Primary goes from doing 2 light dances to intermediate which is a light dsnce and a heavy dance. (NT) -- Sometimes the dancer has only learnt a beg/pri heavyjig which is a lot easier than an inter heavyjig, 19:35:26 05/30/25 Fri
