Subject: I have a confession to make.

Last week I made a comment on here that John Carey is setting up a school in Open Platform. I made it up. I don't know him, I don't know what he's up to, I don't know if he ever plans to open a school again, in Open Platform or otherwise.

But in doing so, many of the Voy keyboard warriors have fallen for it and made an absolute fool of themselves. Let this be a warning to you, that you can't believe anything you read on the internet. I am anonymous. You do not know me. I can claim to be anyone at all, I can read threads here and allude to being someone else based on the information you give. I can make up stories that become believable because so many of you will fall for anything you read online.

Over the last few weeks I have been accused of being a male dance teacher, a female dance teacher, a teacher with a daughter, an angry feis parent, a jealous senior dancer.

I am none of these things. I'm not even involved in Open Platform. I don't know any of the people you talk about, but you give enough information in your angry rants that it's easy to become any character I choose.

Think about this the next time you accuse an anonymous poster of being someone you can't prove. As if the standard in Open Platform wasn't enough to laugh at, you've given us in CLRG a lot to laugh at.
