Subject: After looking at some of the videos from CLRG Worlds, I am not so sure they are the gold standard any more

I mean CLRG world titles went to dancers with arms five feet from their torsos, with hitched elbows and forward leans on every click, wobbly heads, questionable timing and steps full of poorly executed tricks. There were World champions falling out of spins and no treble rhythm sequences to be found. I guess all CLRG cares about these days is who is following the trends: Dark legs, huge hair, pale faces and over the top dresses. Sure CLRG has a lot of flash and theatrics, but if their best of the best can't execute the basics sounds like the CLRG heyday is over. I guess when the title just goes to whoever's teacher asks for it, there is no worry about actually executing good Irish dancing. CLRG worlds has just become a way for dancers to get more instagram followers.
