I seem to agree that there needs to be some standard to what the emergency vehicle run for emergency lighting colors. I come from a state that every service can use red/blue combinations (Texas), but I also work in a state where Law enforcement vehicles must run blue and fire/ems use only red. I think that there should be some set standard for what they use. Something that lets you know universally what the vehicle is or just that it is an emergency vehicle. I am not saying that this should be imposed by the federal government (we all know they could mess up a snowball in the middle of winter in Alaska) but maybe the major heads for police and law enforcement (NFPA, IFSAC, CALEA, IACP and so forth) could sit down and make some standard.
