Yes! Even with an older car one must be very, very responsible. My car is 35 years old, and several times elderly citizens have thought it was still in service. I am very careful to tell people that I am a car collector and mechanic for these old cars NOT A POLICE OFFICIAL. You might think nobody would believe a 35 year old Belvedere could still be in service, but all it would take is one dear old lady, maybe confused, to call in a complaint and whammo! PROBLEMS. By being responsible and always covering the lights and siren, and signs in the side windows reading "PARADE CAR -- NOT IN SERVICE" and removable magnetic signs, without fail I have won over police officers who go "WOW! neat car, and they respect that I am so careful to NEVER give the impression of a car in service while enroute to shows. That's how to win support and respect from police officials, and offering the car to them to use in PR events...
