I don't know of a Miss America whose win went to her head, as the judges make awfully good picks after interviewing them for 10 minutes or so. However, some formers have been faced with some major life challenges. For example, I think that Gretchen Carlson was a perfectly lovely young woman when she won but she had to face a toxic work environment that IMHO (as a spectator) might have hardened her. (NT)No name
