Another suggestion would be to check for signal at WOT (at throttle position switch), maybe it's misadjusted. For idle, the same situation. Its very convenient to check for continuity with an ohm-meter at the unplugged ECU connector (the part coming from the engine compartment).

Also, is the throttle (cable) operating properly?
