] Date Posted: Thu June 19, 2025 20:45:51 I like the pageant--I really do. Yet--A lot of the contestants were great in swimsuit, and a lot were excellent in talent. But those who were weak in swimsuit were SO weak and those who were poor in talent were SO poor that I don't see how they could have conceivably qualified for a national competition. Perhaps someone could explain this to me. Another issue with the show as a national event is the use of the DeMarcus children! Doing so makes the pageant seem provincial and nepotistic. The optics are bad, leading the viewer to question whether the results could also possibly be skewed skewed toward the Demarcuses' preferences. [> Subject: I COULD NOT AGREE MORE! If this is going to rise to Miss A standards, they need to start really mentoring these contestants. There are way too many poor choices in talent and wardrobe, and they need to stop with the family singers and nearly the same production year after year. Its not rising, Its sinking, fast

[> Subject: Not a fan of the excessive posing at the end of the runway in evening gown. This is a pageant. Not NY fashion week.

Date Posted: Fri June 20, 2025 08:42:13 I feel bad for the Teen Volunteer. She should be the one in all the pictures with the prelim winners, not the daughter. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
[> [> Subject: I have noticed this too. Why is the current teen not emceeing at all? Or performing? But the Demarcus children and old titleholders are emceeing and not performing. Odd. To me it looks like they do not care about their current titleholders, just keeping it in the family. Embarrassing really.

[> Subject: I do agree. The sane young girls and dancers Performing is tired and old. Need new entertainment. The children need to sit on the front row and enjoy the show. As far as contestants some of these girls accepted an open invite because their state doesn’t have a pageant. Maybe bring in a walking coach instead of going to the movies. It’s time to elevate this thing.

Date Posted: Fri June 20, 2025 22:42:35 Sometimes I think they’re out here bribing girls with seven brew gift cards just to get enough contestants. Bless Allison — I really do think she wants the best for them — but girl, you’ve got to bring in some real mentors. These walks look like they wandered out of a mall in 2004, and the song choices? Somewhere, a karaoke machine just burst into flames. Honestly, it feels like the cast of “Almost Miss America†got together and said, “Let’s try one more time!†But hey, participation trophies for everyone, right? Now, I loved the stage — truly, it looked great. But let’s not pretend Frank’s out here producing a Vegas residency. He built what Allison told him to build. He’s not Simon Cowell, he’s a contractor with a Pinterest board. And please — I’m begging — can we skip the “local talent showcase†next year? I’m all for supporting the arts, but not if it sounds like a middle school talent show during allergy season. Just hire one good singer and a couple dancers who don’t trip over their own sparkle boots. You elevated the stage… now elevate the show. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
[> [> Subject: Yes!!! These mentors have to start local. Each open state contestant needs a mentor, period. Maybe Allison wouldnt have to try so hard if she elevated her standards/production. Instead she holds on to the family talent/trio of singers/dancers with former title holders as emcees and its tired. And every year the level of quality contestants is less and less.
