- Actor Ethan Hawke slams Trump’s ‘fascist behavior’ -- http://bit.ly/2dEielo, 16:26:27 10/24/16 Mon [1]

Actor Ethan Hawke says Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump acts more like a “fascist” than a White House hopeful.
“You don’t need a daughter to be offended by what guy says,” he told The Daily Beast in an interview published Monday.
“When you see a man, if he wins, threatening to put his opponent in jail?” Hawke said, adding, “That’s fascist behavior.”
Hawke said Trump is resonating with voters who dislike the possibility that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. could become America’s first female president.
“What ‘Make America Great Again’ means is not lost on any of us,” he said of Trump’s campaign slogan. “It means ‘white’ and ‘male.’
“They think, ‘What could be worse than a black president? Gasp! A Woman!” Hawke added of Trump’s supporters.
“The sailboat is going the wrong way to a certain part of the country, and it’s very upsetting. And Trump plays right into it.”
Hawke said he admires Clinton for serving as a role model for women this election cycle, citing his 18-year-old daughter as an example.
“It’s easy to dwell on the negative, but it’s pretty incredible for me to watch the [presidential] debates with my 18-year-old,” he said.
“So on the positive side, my daughter is seeing a woman in a position of power fighting back, not backing down and staking her territory,” Hawke added. “So I find that very exciting.
“This is [my daughter’s] first election she’ll vote in, and she wasn’t politically aware the last election, so this is really her first go-around. For her to get to see a woman in this situation is something I’ve never seen my whole life, but she has no awareness of it. That’s in the past now.”

- Conway suggests media should pay less attention to Trump's tweets -- http://politi.co/2dE7ZNU, 15:04:02 10/24/16 Mon [3]

Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, deflected on Monday when asked to explain her candidate’s latest unsubstantiated claim on Twitter, seeming to suggest that the Republican nominee's tweets shouldn’t be considered newsworthy.
In a combative exchange Monday afternoon, MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki repeatedly pressed Conway to explain what Trump meant when he asserted that a “secret tape” had come out showing that Hillary Clinton “wants to take in as many Syrians as possible.”
“We cannot let this happen — ISIS!” Trump concluded in the tweet, without an explanation. It is unclear what Trump was referring to in the message, given that no such recording has emerged since he posted it on Monday morning.
When Kornacki brought up the statement on air that afternoon, Conway dismissed it, interjecting, “Twitter.”
Kornacki pushed back, “Well, he said, this is the best way of reaching voters, so I’m going to quote him on it.”
“He gave three speeches today, Steve!” Conway protested.
Kornacki went ahead and read the tweet, and then asked Conway what secret tape exists to prove Trump’s claim. She dodged, saying, “I don't know about the secret tape,” before pivoting to Clinton’s proposal to increase the intake of Syrian refugees by the U.S.
Kornacki asked her again: “Kellyanne, he says there’s a secret tape. He bragged, the other day, he bragged how many Twitter followers he has. He says this is the best way to go out and reach people with the truth. This is what he chose to put on his Twitter account. He says there is a secret tape out there that proves that, as he calls her, 'Crooked Hillary' wants unlimited Syrian refugees coming into this country. I’m asking you, where’s the secret tape?”
Conway dodged again: “Well, first of all, maybe someone played him a tape, I’m not with him today. He’s in Florida, I’m here managing the campaign,” she said, then again cited Clinton’s proposals on refugees.
Trump concedes he's 'somewhat behind' in the polls
Trump starts grappling with reality
By Nolan D. McCaskill
Kornacki pointed out that Clinton has not proposed taking in an unlimited number of refugees. He asked her again about the tape: “Where is it?”
Conway offered no more information on the “secret tape” claim, and instead criticized Kornacki for focusing on Trump’s Twitter presence. Instead, she suggested, journalists should focus on his rallies.
“Everybody wants to just follow him on Twitter,” Conway said. “It’s easier. They want to take one comment he made or one tweet that some journalist said he said and then it makes all the rounds. I mean, let’s be fair. He gives speeches every single day.”
Kornacki concluded the interview by noting that a speech Trump had made that day was “the lead in to this broadcast.”
Conway has raised eyebrows over some recent tweets of her own, which some observers have read as subtly critical of her own candidate and his lack of discipline on the campaign trail.

- Report accuses Trump super-PAC of agreeing to hide prohibited foreign donations -- http://bit.ly/2dE7PGF, 14:58:39 10/24/16 Mon [3]

The main super-PAC supporting Donald Trump's presidential bid faces allegations that it worked with foreign donors to facilitate donations from prohibited donations to the group.
An undercover investigation by reporters with Britain's The Telegraph were allegedly directed by Great America PAC co-chairman Eric Beach to funnel a foreign donation through a non-profit so that the source could not be traced.
It's against campaign finance law for foreign donors to give in connection to an election.
Dan Backer, the group's lawyer, said in a statement that Beach's "conduct was appropriate, ethical and legal at all times," adding that Beach was simply telling the undercover journalists how "a U.S. company with a foreign parent company could potentially engage in legal political activity."
Trump's campaign, by law, has no connection to the super-PAC.
The investigation claims that a journalist posed as representative for a Chinese client who wanted to donate $2 million to the super-PAC but understood he could not because of his nationality.
Beach allegedly told the reporter to send the money through a non-profit, which does not have to disclose its donors and does not ban foreign money. Then, the non-profit could donate to the super-PAC legally with donations that originated from a foreign source. Beach, the Telegraph goes on to claim, told the reporter during a phone conversation that the donor could have access to Trump if he wins the White House.
"We can have that whispered into Mr. Trump's ear whenever your client feels it's appropriate," Beach allegedly said about the donation.
The report also claims that Jesse Benton, a former aide to the group who was later convicted in an unrelated election law violation stemming from his work on Ron Paul's 2012 campaign, reached out to offer his own non-profit as a way to funnel the donation.
Backer, the Great America PAC lawyer, denied that Benton was acting on orders from the PAC and accused him of unsanctioned "puffery and self-promotion."
"Mr. Benton has not solicited any contributions to the PAC that I am aware of, nor has he been asked to," Backer told The Telegraph in a statement.
And Benton told the paper that he did nothing "unethical" and did not work as "an agent of Great America PAC."
Lawrence Nobel of the Campaign Legal Center, a campaign finance advocacy group, told the Telegraph there should be an investigation if "there is evidence that representatives of a super-PC were soliciting or knowingly accepting foreign national money and helping arrange for it to get into a super-PAC through a [non-profit] organization."

- Report: Trump Took $17 Million in Insurance for ‘Hurricane Damage’ That Might Not Exist -- http://bit.ly/2dE8WWC, 14:56:32 10/24/16 Mon [1]

Another report is hot off the press and, once again, it’s not shedding a good light on Donald Trump‘s ability, to, uh, handle money. According to The Associated Press, Trump said he received a $17 million insurance payment for hurricane damage at Mar-a-lago private beach club in 2005 — but the news organization was unable to find evidence that the resort suffered that much actual damage during the time frame indicated.
The report says that 2 years after the 2005 storm, Trump admitted to pocketing some of the money into his personal accounts, saying that under the terms of his insurance policy, he didn’t have to reinvest. In fact, in a deposition, he called the $17 million a “very good policy.” In the deposition, he insisted some of the money was going to restore the property including “landscaping, roofing walls, painting, leaks, artwork.”
However, here’s where the report gets really interesting.
“That house has never been seriously damaged,” Anthony Senecal, Trump’s former butler told the Associated Press. “I was there for all of them (hurricanes).”
And interestingly, Trump hosted his son’s wedding at the private clubs two weeks after Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Oh, and the AP checked in with the permits department and found out that no permits were issued for major repairs.
“The only permits that appeared hurricane-related were for $3,000 in repairs to storm-damaged outdoor lighting and the vacuuming of sand from the property’s beachfront pool,” the report reads. Of course, the repairs could have been done without permits, but, the article notes, the work would likely be “illegal.”
But, let’s be clear, insurance companies don’t just make $17 million payouts without a thorough investigation, as the article pointed out. If you’ve ever filed an insurance claim, you will know it’s no easy process. Executives from the insurance companies said they remember the process moving smoothly. So that leaves a lot of questions: What was the money used for? Where was the damage? Why can’t anyone seem to remember it?
Trump reportedly declined to answer more specific questions about the damage.

A special letter to Republican nominee Donald J. Trump:
In a way, you are no better than your narcissistic alter ego. When told what you say is considered sexist, racist, classless, hurtful, and you say it more, you are a self-centered narcissist.
Speaking off the top of your head, yelling hurtful insults, slinging mud, your unsophisticated intellect comes as somewhat surprising. It is apparent there is no limit to what you will say.
For starters you are unapologetically low class:
• women ooze blood
• Hillary cofounded ISIS
• "Hillary Clinton is a bigot!"
• punish women for abortions
• kill terrorists and their families
• proposed mass deportation force
• African Americans use food stamps
• extreme vetting of Muslim immigrants
• if Ivanka wasn't daughter, he'd date her
• Mexican immigrant’s murderer’s rapists
• cancel Obamacare (offers no alternative)
• "you have to be wealthy in order to be great"
• "putting a wife to work is a dangerous thing."
• Hillary's not going to do anything for African Americans
• John McCain's a war hero because of his capture
• referring to protesters, "throw'em the hell outta' here"
• will pay legal fees for those who beat up Trump protesters
• women who get pregnant create inconveniences for employers
• "I'll be humane and efficient" with undocumented Latino immigrants
• Secret Service met with Trump after his inappropriate 2nd Amendment Hillary comments.
• To the African American voter, I'll make sure that when you walk down the street neither you or your child will be shot.
• inner city African Americans and Hispanic's live in "war zones" where they can't walk down the street "without getting shot."
• Tweeted, "Dwayne Wade's cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!"
Your fellow Republicans consider you unqualified to be Commander-in-Chief:
• may dissolve NATO
• flip flops constantly
• yelled at crying toddler
• attacking Hillary's health
• implies America's not great
• mocked handicapped reporter
• more nuclear countries needed
• throws Twitter temper tantrums
• interrupts, talks over interviewers
• won't defend NATO allies against Russia
• requested Russian espionage for Hillary's emails
• Trump doesn't have maturity, judgment, temperament
• attacked a Gold Star Family (Captain Khan's grieving parents)
You have narcissistic personality disorder:
• dodged Vietnam war draft
• says media biased against him
• Trump University Ponzi scheme
• says he's Law & Order candidate
• filed bankruptcies to avoid paying employees
• refused to rent to African Americans sued twice
• says his own wealth is his strength, but Hillary's wealth is nefarious
• begrudgingly endorsed reelections of fellow Republican party leaders Ryan and McCain
• personally insulted every adversarial Republican, and Democratic Presidential candidate
• won't release tax returns during audit, IRS states tax returns can be released during audit
Your attempted outreach to African Americans raised more than a few eyebrows:
• "you have no job
• "you're living in poverty
• "your schools are no good
• "what do you have to lose?
• "what-the-hell do you have to lose?
• "58% of African Americans are unemployed" (included 18-year-old high schoolers through not able to work elderly)
Your audacity to lie 75% of the time astounds me:
• President Obama isn't a US citizen
• President Obama has no US birth certificate
• will build wall to keep out illegals, hires illegals
• I know more about ISIS than our military generals
• Justice Scalia was murdered (died sleeping, natural causes)
• complains media takes him out of context (even when quoted)
• Indiana born judge is Mexican (judge born to Mexican immigrants)
• secretly viewed $400 million Iranian money drop video (no video exists)
• Hillary receives special government favors (gives no specific credible examples)
• Cruz's father helped Oswald assassinate JFK (provides no proof whatsoever)
• will build Mexican wall to keep out immigrants (provides no financial or construction details)
• ISIS which formed in 1999 was founded by President Obama (first elected in 2008, 9 years later)
• "will reject bigotry and hatred and oppression in all its forms" (Trump has promised complex Muslim bans)
• Hillary's emails killed Iranian scientist (scientist publicly outed himself 2010, Hillary left Secretary of State 2013)
• will stand up to and bring jobs back from China (wears Trump ties from China, wears Trump shirts from Bangladesh)
You're a walking contradiction:
• demanded Romney's tax returns (won't release his own taxes)
• demands Hillary's speech transcripts and emails (won't release Trump business emails, memos, or minutes)
• demands Obama's birth certificate and college transcripts (won't release his own birth certificate or college transcripts)
Of course you'd admit to a few mistakes in life:
• currently married to 3rd wife
• multiple affairs and divorces
• has 5 children by 3 different women
• has sacrificed nothing, and no one
• Criticizes illegals, Melania may be illegal
• Melania stole from Michelle Obama's speech
• Melania Trump's nude layout proves she's not First Lady material
• Trump's pro-police, neither Trump nor children ever served Police
• Trump's promilitary, neither draft dodging Trump or children ever served
• prior to RNC speech, palmed Ivanka's hips onstage at Republican Convention
• says Melania has 4-year Architecture degree but won't release her college transcripts
• Melania Trump receives green card 1996, got paid for nude layout 1995 that makes her illegal
You give adversaries childish names:
• Carly Fiorina - Ugly
• Ted Cruz - Lyin Ted
• Jeb Bush - Lightweight
• Marco Rubio - Little Guy
• Hillary Clinton - Crooked Hillary
• John Kasich - Stubborn Old Man
Your low IQ:
• Trump companies owe China $650 million
• when asked policy specifics or tough questions, Trump pivots
• called would-be Reagan assassin John Hinckley, David Hinckley
• Trump tweeted Scotland loves Brexit (Scotland voted against Brexit)
• Trump Presidency will prevent Russia from invading Ukraine (Russia already occupies Crimea)
• called former Virginia Governor, Vice Presidential Candidate Senator Tim Kaine, New Jersey's Governor
Altered poll numbers in his favor and tweeted the out claiming they came from Nate Silver and 538. Took them down only after Nate Silver called him out on Twitter 9/52016.
Your political endorsements leave much to be desired:
• Fox News
• Scott Baio
• Rick Perry
• Jan Brewer
• Roger Ailes
• Sarah Palin
• Mike Pence
• Mike Tyson
• Ted Nugent
• Ann Coulter
• Oliver North
• Kirstie Alley
• Stacey Dash
• John McCain
• Rudy Giuliani
• Sean Hannity
• Chris Christie
• Newt Gingrich
• Phil Robertson
• Clint Eastwood
• Dr. Ben Carson
• Mike Huckabee
• Katrina Pierson
• Kellyanne Conway
• Michele Bachmann
• North Korea's Kim Jong-un
• KKK Grand Wizard David Duke
• Russian President Vladimir Putin
Surprising Republicans NOT endorsing you:
• Ted Cruz
• Rand Paul
• Bush family
• John Kasich
• Carly Fiorina
• Dick Cheney
• Rob Portman
NOT a SINGLE living president Republican or Democrat will endorse you.
And how does this end sir?
You alone have reduced this election to common gutter name calling. Your rise to Republican nominee is both shocking and amazing, and now, some would argue, regretful.
America must come to its senses and flat out reject you. The last thing America needs is Donald J. Trump.

- The media is finally catching on, that Trump has been playing them like a fiddle. --
Donald Trump’s brazen dishonesty starts to catch up with him
, 12:52:32 09/26/16 Mon [1]
By some measures, the most important aspect of the 2016 presidential election is also one of the least recognized: Donald Trump lies at an almost uncontrollable pace, but he’s earned a reputation for racism and buffoonery, not dishonesty. Polls show Americans generally consider him more truthful than Hillary Clinton, which is a bizarre conclusion for any objective observer who’s watched these candidates closely.
But as the race enters its home stretch, some are starting to take Trump’s penchant for dishonesty more seriously. The New York Times published this striking piece on the Republican candidate’s “week of whoppers” over the weekend:
All politicians bend the truth to fit their purposes, including Hillary Clinton. But Donald J. Trump has unleashed a blizzard of falsehoods, exaggerations and outright lies in the general election, peppering his speeches, interviews and Twitter posts with untruths so frequent that they can seem flighty or random – even compulsive.
However, a closer examination, over the course of a week, revealed an unmistakable pattern: Virtually all of Mr. Trump’s falsehoods directly bolstered a powerful and self-aggrandizing narrative depicting him as a heroic savior for a nation menaced from every direction. Mike Murphy, a Republican strategist, described the practice as creating “an unreality bubble that he surrounds himself with.”
In this study, the paper chose a week seemingly at random – Sept. 15 through 21 – and singled out Trump’s “biggest whoppers,” many of which were “uttered repeatedly,” leaving “dozens more” on the editing room floor for a variety of reasons.
And if it seems as if news outlets all stumbled upon this dynamic simultaneously, it’s not your imagination. The Washington Post published a related piece the same day that reviewed one week’s worth of Trump’s speeches, tweets, and interviews. The analysis found a presidential hopeful “who at times seems uniquely undeterred by facts” and demonstrates a “disregard for the truth in numerous cases.”
The L.A. Times ran a similar story of its own, explaining that the “scope” of Trump’s falsehoods is “unprecedented for a modern presidential candidate,” and adding, “Never in modern presidential politics has a major candidate made false statements as routinely as Trump has.”
Politico published a related piece, too, fact-checking the major-party candidates over the course a week. It found, “Trump’s mishandling of facts and propensity for exaggeration so greatly exceed Clinton’s as to make the comparison almost ludicrous…. Trump averaged about one falsehood every three minutes and 15 seconds over nearly five hours of remarks. In raw numbers, that’s 87 erroneous statements in five days.”
Keep in mind, we’re talking about analyses that covered just seven days – at a point in the campaign at which Trump tends to stick to teleprompters and scripted remarks.

-- truth, this country needs an enema, ther kind of shit that is normally posted here need flushed., 14:39:45 09/25/16 Sun [8]
In 2001, the Clintons were moving out of the White House to make way for the Bush Administration. Not only did the Clintons steal furniture on their way out of the White House, but they did something far worse. It’s yet another reason why they should not be allowed to step foot in the White House AGAIN!
Besides the stolen furniture, Hillary Clinton and her lackeys defaced walls, stole a presidential seal dating back to the Eisenhower years, damaged furniture they deemed not expensive enough to take, and left a huge mess in the offices, making it look like a rave party had taken place there.
They left behind offensive and derogatory statements about Bush, defaced keyboards so the letter W could not be used, stole doorknobs and other small items, and left behind prank signs as well as many other immature acts. Apparently, the Clintons are petty, reckless, and have no respect for the taxpayers or the donations they give to for president’s household and office.
A complete list of all the damages is in the GAO 02-360 â€The White House: Allegations of Damage During the 2001 Presidential Transition,’ an official document of the aftermath of the Clinton Administration. So, liberals can’t chalk this up to a conspiracy theory.
And the Democrats want someone this immature and disrespectful back in the White House?
The Clintons stole or destroyed thousands of dollars of donated items in the White House, a place We the People provide for THEM as they lead this country. In no way do any of those items belong to one president—whether they are taken or destroyed is not up to them.
The Clinton family claims they returned the furniture they had mistaken as being personally donated to the Clinton family, while other items reported missing at the end of Bill Clinton’s administration were never returned.
Of course, this has Hillary written all over it. I can’t think of another person who would steal from and deface the White House. Her greed is apparent with these actions, and it’s almost a guarantee that if she’s elected, some of the missing items will suddenly reappear in the White House.
Hillary was the first person to condemn Donald Trump for his “reckless temperament,” stating further that he is not suitable to be commander-in-chief, and yet evidence of her own reckless and overall immature behavior further shoves her into a hypocritical light.
What will happen to the White House when she’s done with it the second time around? Will she burn it down next time? Make sure no one else can use it once she’s knocked off her high horse?
The Obamas may be gunning for Hillary to win the election in November, but one can only hope for America’s sake this doesn’t come happen. Not only will our beloved White House be brought down, but so will our great country. We the People cannot allow this to happen!

- Here's some Truth for you Trump voters: -- No name, 06:42:41 09/25/16 Sun [2]
Jimmy Carter writes, people like Will Campbell — who repeatedly told white people that they were lying to themselves about their own history, about slavery and the Civil War, and about the supposedly contented condition of “the Negro” — were confusing and irritating. But when the Civil Rights movement came along, Carter said he experienced a gradual awakening, and a realization that Campbell and the other “truth-tellers” of the white South had been right all along. If many whites experienced that era as bewildering and chaotic, Jimmy Carter says he experienced it as a personal and spiritual boon, in which “the burden of white supremacy” was lifted from him.
Let’s think about that, because it’s an extraordinary statement. The idea Jimmy Carter proposes in that essay, and that Will Campbell lived by, is nonetheless radical or revolutionary. It is that white people do not suffer when white supremacy is ended or ameliorated. In fact, they are made better, happier and more complete people, potential partners in all the dialogue and drama of the human race, instead of poisoned robots in thrall to a transparently false and evil ideology.
A large proportion of white Americans have been severely damaged by the legacy of white supremacy, and now suffer from a kind of dementia disorder. They seek to blame people of other races or people from other countries for problems that are either self-inflicted or the work of their capitalist overlords. And in the name of reclaiming a lost golden age, they are rushing to sign their own death warrant.

- If You Vote For Trump, Fuck You -- This is a little long, but excellent screed to Trump voters..., 08:59:14 09/23/16 Fri [2]
Earlier this week, the Washington Post’s David Fahrenthold uncovered yet another Donald Trump scam job, in which he used over $250,000 in charitable donations to help pay off his legal bills. And, because this is Trump, that sordid (and almost certainly illegal) bit of money laundering is just ONE despicable detail of the story. There are many more, including Trump’s club trying to welch on a $1 million hole-in-one payout (out of all of Trump’s bad qualities, his steadfast refusal to pay people what he owes them, while bragging about it, is the most enraging), along with the old bit about Trump blithely ignoring local ordinances so he could put a big, dipshit flagpole up at the Mar-A-Lago club, with his lawyers stating—with a straight face—that a smaller flag “would fail to appropriately express the magnitude of Donald J. Trump’s . . . patriotism” (NOTE: Until recently, Trump didn’t know what the stripes on the flag symbolized).
None of this is surprising, of course. Trump is a liar and a crook, and he commits abominable acts at such a frenetic pace that they get lost in the fury surrounding whatever horrible thing he does next. Keith Olbermann needed over 17 minutes on this site just to list a fraction of the atrocities Trump has staged during election season, and he’s gonna need 17 more minutes to cover what happens between now and Election Day. Remember when Trump said he would get rid of food regulations? That was Thursday.
Regardless, in the end, people are still gonna vote for this man. Maybe not enough to get him elected, but still: it’ll be in the tens of millions. (Note to the people causing the polls to fluctuate: What the fuck is wrong with you? I gotta meet the five percent of people who saw Hillary come down with pneumonia and were like, “Forget her, gimme the dictator with dryer lint hair.”) Nothing that Trump says, no damning piece of Trump reportage, and certainly no opinion piece like this one will stop his voters from pulling the lever. Nor will anything stop Trump from being the officious, braindead goon that he is. He will never answer for his crimes, and there’s a frighteningly large portion of the electorate that will always love him for that.
And so I’d just like to say to that portion of the electorate: Fuck you. No, seriously. Go fuck yourselves. I’m not gonna waste any more time trying to convince you that you’re about to do something you’ll regret forever. I’m not gonna show you old clips of Trump saying rotten things. I’m not gonna try to ANNIHILATE Trump by showing you records of his hypocrisy and greed. I’m not gonna link to a John Oliver clip and be like, “THIS. So much this.” Nothing’s gonna take down Trump at this point, so I’m not gonna bother. No no, this post is for ME. I am preaching to the sad little choir in my soul here.
Because while Trump is a miserable bastard, YOU are the people who have handed him the bullhorn. YOU are the people willing to embarrass this nation and put it on the brink of economic ruin all because you wanna throw an electoral hissy fit. YOU are the people who want to revolutionize the way America does business by voting for its worst businessman, a disgusting neon pig who only makes money when he causes problems for other people instead of solving them. YOU are the thin-skinned yokels who clutch your bandoliers whenever someone hurls the mildest of slurs at you (“deplorables”), while cheering Trump on as he leaves a bonfire of truly hateful invective everywhere he goes. YOU are the people willing to overlook the fact that Trump is an unqualified, ignorant sociopath because DURRRR HILLARY IS BAD TOO DURRRR.
You know what? No, she’s not. She’s fine. I lived through one Clinton, and I can live through another. My reasons for hating Trump are better than your reasons for hating Hillary. Show me all the arguments against her you like. You guys don’t give a shit about facts and research when it comes to Trump, so I’m not gonna give a shit about whatever clumsy meme you cook up to explain why she did Benghazi. Nope. Sorry. Fuck your arguments, and fuck you. Trump has shown no respect for anyone, so I don’t see why you deserve any either. Whatever mildly frustrating centrist liberal bureaucracy that Hillary presides over will be fine compared to the spray tan mushroom cloud that would arise all because YOU thought Trump was such a brave, un-PC dickhead to everyone within shouting distance.
Trump is human waste. He is the worst of America stuffed into a nacho cheese casing, and he is emblematic of the kind of arrogant, flag-waving, trashy, racist moron that the rest of us have to DRAG kicking and screaming into the 21st century: Cliven Bundy, Sean Hannity, Kim Davis, and on and on and on. Trump voters are the people who have spent the past decade or so voting insipid obstructionists into office, sending death threats to anyone who even mentions the idea of gun control, demanding 100% tax cuts on millions of dollars they can only daydream about making, and getting suckered in by any Oil Party candidate waving a NO GAYS flag. Fuck them. These are needy hillbilly loons who are just as starved for attention as Trump himself. And voting for Trump is their way of emulating him, of saying FUCK YOU to everyone else as a mission statement, with no regard for the fallout.
The old saw is that people get the politicians they deserve, and I’ll be crestfallen if Trump wins and proves this to be true once more. If you vote for him, you’re not making America great again. You are killing it. You are telling the world that America isn’t worth it. You are telling the world that all of our big talk about freedom and unity and ideals is just a load of shit, and that you would prefer a smoldering dystopia where freedom is just a flimsy cover for evildoing, led by a man who believes that strength is measured only in killing people. You are handing the most important job on Earth to Napoleon from Animal Farm. And you are revealing your breathtaking ignorance to everyone except for yourself. I can’t believe you can’t see this. I want you to see this. I wanna shine a big fucking light in your face and scream at you that Trump isn’t even qualified to be human, much less President. How are you gonna change the system if you elect some corrupt idiot who has no clue how to DO IT, huh? Can’t you see this? Haven’t you heard this asshole talk? THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?
But I already know that’s a futile effort. So fuck you, and fuck the GOP leaders who are too chickenshit to stand up to you. I’m not gonna wish deportation or imprisonment or some kind of fantastical hyperbolic death upon you. I’m not gonna ask for a wall to be built on the Mason-Dixon line. No no, I think you people deserve the EXACT same fate as Trump himself, and that is to lose, badly. That’s what should happen to you. You and your hamburger puppet leader deserve to live the rest of your days arm-in-arm in disgrace, branded as losers for eternity. Because that’s what you are.

Trump Sets Debate Stage For Lying With Plea For No Fact-Checking
-- No name, 04:41:14 09/23/16 Fri [1]

Reality TV star Donald Trump, who also happens to be the Republican presidential nominee, doesn’t appear to be interested in giving voters the truth at the first debate on Monday. When he faces off with rival Democrat, Hillary Clinton, Trump thinks fact-checking should be off the table.
Donald Trump says debate moderator Lester Holt shouldn’t try to fact-check the candidates at next week’s presidential debate.
Trump says it’s up to the candidates themselves to call out their rivals when they are wrong. Trump spoke Thursday in a telephone interview on “Fox and Friends.” He says the candidates should “argue it out.”
So what Trump is basically asking for is free TV airtime to spread whatever lies he chooses, to what could be the largest audience in US presidential debate history. Anyone see a problem with that?
What Donald Trump is asking for serves as a hint into just how gullible he believes the American public is and how little he really cares about honest governing. It also demonstrates his lack of respect for the entire democratic process. Winning by lying is the same as winning by cheating; it’s all just another part of The Great Con Game that Trump has played so well.

I have so many issues with your rant I don't even know where to start... Overall it's a silent protest, a protest which he has every right to stage. But people like you are so narrow minded that you would rather not address the protest or look into the issue he (and SO MANY OTHERS) are trying to raise but would rather go off about how he's disrespecting the military and his country. Is the flag only for the military? Do the rest of us not matter? Because I didn't fight in any wars I can't have an opinion about what the flag represents to me? It's a symbol, just like a star or a cross and can mean whatever the beholder wishes it to mean. They aren't entirely different things, they are completely related - he started his protest because it's against a country that is BROKEN. A country where white rapists don't go to jail and unarmed black men in broken down cars get murdered. This growing protest has nothing to do with the military so get the f over that and how about you do some research of how fucked up America is right now. No, you'd rather focus on an "idiot spoiled brat football player" than look at any real issues.
Just because you married a POC and live on the south side doesn't mean your opinion of this protest isn't asinine. How exactly has it "hurt those black and white who served this country"? Pleas tell me. Do they feel a stab in their chest every time someone takes a knee during the national anthem like voodoo? You're ridiculous. And since when do protests change things overnight? It's to raise awareness because too many people have their heads up their ass in their own world to see what's happening. Plenty of people are supporting this protest but too many are crying about how it's "harming the men and women who fought for this country", and "show some respect", and "get out of this country if you don't like it". Yeah, because let's not fix the problem, let's just get rid of the people that recognize there IS a problem.
I raise intelligent children. So proud.

I finally found a Trump supporter—this morning when I went to buy coffee. (I noticed a Trump bumper sticker on his car.)
“Hi,” I said. “Noticed your Trump bumper sticker.”
“Yup,” he said, a bit defensively.
“I hope you don’t mind my asking, but I’m curious. Why are you supporting him?”
“I know he’s a little bit much,” said the Trump supporter. “But he’s a successful businessman. And we need a successful businessman as president.”
“How do you know he’s a successful businessman?” I asked.
“Because he’s made a fortune.”
“Has he really?” I asked.
“Of course. Forbes magazine says he’s worth four and a half billion.”
“That doesn’t mean he’s been a success,” I said.
“In my book, it does,” said the Trump supporter.
“You know, in 1976, when Trump was just starting his career, he said he was worth about $200 million,” I said. “Most of that was from his father.”
“That just proves my point,” said the Trump supporter. “He turned that $200 million into four and a half billion. Brilliant man.“
“But if he had just put that $200 million into an index fund and reinvested the dividends, he’d be worth twelve billion today,” I said.
The Trump supporter went silent.
"And he got about $850 million in tax subsidies, just in New York alone,” I said.
More silence.
“He’s not a businessman,” I said. “He’s a con man. "Hope you enjoy your coffee.”

The embarrassing video of a Black female pastor, Faith Green-Timmons, shutting him down when he tried to use her church podium like a campaign rally went viral, and of course Trump couldn’t resist attacking the pastor like the toddler that he is at heart.
Trump phoned in to his buddies over at Fox and Friends Thursday morning, and said that the audience was great but the pastor was, quote, a “nervous mess.” Trump told the Fox hosts:“Something was up, because I noticed she was so nervous when she introduced me. She called NBC, ABC … when she got up to introduce me, she was so nervous, she was shaking. And I said, ‘Wow, this is sort of strange.’ And then, she came up. So she had that in mind, there’s no question about it.”
He also claimed people in the church were yelling: "Let him speak! Let him speak!"
Now, all of this of course is untrue, as can be seen on the video.
The pastor of Flint, Michigan’s Bethel United Methodist Church did not look at all nervous when she shut Trump down, and there were no calls of 'let him speak', none, but of course facts don’t matter to The Donald.
All that matters is that he was embarrassed in public and video of it went viral, so the person who caused him said embarrassment must pay.
This is not a person who has the character or temperament to be president, and of course that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the things about Donald Trump that utterly disqualify him from being President of the United States. Part of being in public life — especially political public life — is the ability to take criticism. That is simply an ability that Trump does not possess. His ego and narcissism will not allow him to let any slight — perceived or real — go without launching some kind of attack, usually full of childish, untrue, low-road insults.
Remember, America — this man could be your next president, and he reacts like a 2-year-old anytime anyone disagrees with him for any reason whatsoever.

1) Setting a Timeline And Not Getting a Status of Forces Agreement in Iraq: George W. Bush may have had a tough time in Iraq overall, but his surge was wildly successful and the country had largely been pacified when he left office. In other words, Barack Obama didn't have to "win" the war in Iraq because it had already been won. All he had to do was not screw up the peace. Instead, for purely political reasons, he set a timeline for when we were going to pull out. Then he didn't even bother to get a status of forces agreement with Iraq, which would have helped to stabilize the country and improve its training with very minimal risk to American forces. Keep in mind that we STILL have soldiers in Germany, Japan, and South Korea, but none in Iraq, which desperately needed our help and advice to keep the country stable. Now, the entire nation is in danger of devolving into civil war and/or falling to Isis/Al-Qaeda outright because Barack Obama wanted to be able to tell his base that he got us "out" of Iraq. Well, we are "out" of Iraq, but now ISIS/Al-Qaeda is in because of Obama. Great job squandering all the sacrifices our soldiers made in that country, Obama!
2) Obamacare: Barack Obama genuinely deserves to be impeached not just once, but twice for Obamacare. From top to bottom, the entire program was sold on lies. Obama claimed that if people liked their plans they could keep their plans. He claimed that if they liked their doctors, they could keep their doctors. He claimed that Obamacare would cut costs for the average family by $2,500. Obamacare could have never passed if the American people had known those promises were baldfaced lies. Since the bill became law, Obama has illegally altered it more than 20 times to try to delay the damaging political impact to the Democrat Party. Meanwhile, the law has cost millions of Americans their insurance and has driven medical costs into the stratosphere. Seldom has so much been promised to so many who've been so bitterly disappointed with what they received.
3) Breaking The Law To Give Amnesty To Young Illegals: We've already had a "one time" amnesty for illegal aliens in this country, but Barack Obama is willing to flagrantly break the law in order to have another one. So essentially, he has ordered the border patrol to stop deporting ANYONE other than SOME of the worst criminals and gang members. Contrary to the law on the books, younger illegal aliens are being flat out told they won't be deported and are being given work permits. Unsurprisingly, as word of this got out, it created a flood of illegal aliens at the border. In past years, roughly 6,500 unaccompanied children have crossed the border. This year, the number is projected to be around 90,000 and the Obama Administration STILL isn't deporting them, which will make our illegal immigration problem worse, spur even more children to come here and will lead to countless kids being robbed, raped and murdered on their way to the United States. This has been called "Cloward-Piven at the border" and that's exactly what it is: a deliberate attempt to subvert the law and hurt the country.
4) The Failed Stimulus: Including interest, Obama spent more than a TRILLION dollars "stimulating" the economy. "Stimulating" is in quotes because there's very little real evidence that frittering away all that money we borrowed actually did anything to help the economy. That's actually an even bigger deal than people might think since the CBO estimated that over the long haul, the "stimulus" would actually create so much new debt that it would REDUCE OUR ECONOMIC GROWTH. In other words, we didn't grow in the short term, we're going to grow less in the long term, and we added a TRILLION DOLLARS worth of debt. Do you know what we could have bought with 1.2 trillion dollars in stimulus?
Think of it like this: in today’s dollars, the stimulus bill will cost more than the war in Korea and the war in Iraq — combined! It will cost about the same amount as FDR’s New Deal AND the war in Vietnam combined! It’ll cost far more than the Marshall Plan, the Louisiana Purchase, and putting a man on the moon — combined!
Instead, we might as well have taken a trillion dollars, weighted it down and dumped it into an active volcano for all the good it did.
5) "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs" or "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs" lost? Barack Obama has put a number of policies in place which were supposed to create jobs. Rather famously, his stimulus bill was supposed to drop unemployment to 5.6% or below by 2012. Nancy Pelosi said Obamacare would create 4 million jobs. Obama has loaned (and lost) countless billions of dollars to Chrysler, GM, and green energy companies like Solyndra to create jobs. Obama has publicly "pivoted to jobs" 19 times since he was first elected. Liberals, including the Obama Administration tell us that Barack Obama has been FANTASTIC at creating jobs.
Yet, there are a MILLION LESS AMERICANS WORKING TODAY than there were the day Obama took office. If you go back to 2007, before the economic crash there are "3.2 million fewer full-time employed persons" working. On top of that, median household income is down by close to $2300 per family since Obama took office. Put another way, there are less people working than when Obama took charge and the people who are working are making less money on average. It's all well and good for Obama to keep encouraging as many people as possible to get welfare and disability, but he seems to have forgotten that we need to have some people left working to pay for that along with the rest of the big government programs he advocates.

"Saturday morning, in a uniquely craven and breathtakingly vulturistic social media post, Trump proved—once again—that he knows no boundaries.
Linking the shooting death of NBA superstar Dwyane Wade’s cousin, Nykea Aldridge, to his own recent rhetorical flourishes about so-called black-on-black crime, the former real estate developer seemed to say: I told you so.
“Dwyane Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago,” Trump said, in a tweet he deleted, then reposted with the correct spelling of the NBA star’s first name. “Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!”
The fact that the one-time reality television personality originally misspelled Wade’s first name, did not mention Nykea Aldridge by name and failed to extend condolences to the family was largely greeted with derision. As the nation grapples with meaningful solutions to some of our most pressing dilemmas—including how to stem the tide of gun violence—and a family was dealing with a tragic loss, Trump is taking a victory lap."

- REPORT: Trump’s $100,000 Donation To Louisiana Flood Victims Went To Tony Perkins’ Church -- You find something more dispicable about Donald Trump every day. He just keeps upping the ante., 16:15:28 08/22/16 Mon [9]
Donald Trump did donate $100,000 after flooding devastated Lousiana, killing thirteen people while displacing tens of thousands of residents. So far, that sounds great. Reporters could’t seem to track down the generous donation but perhaps they didn’t think his benefactor would be a church where Tony Perkins, the anti-gay pastor, offers services as an interim pastor. Donald donated the badly needed funds to a local hate group.
The report:
Trump’s six figure “donation” actually went to a group called the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, which is a local front for ‘interim pastor” Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council – a notorious anti LGBT entity disguised as a family values group and now disguised as a church. Perkins lost his home in the flood, a story which garnered significant headlines for its irony after so many anti-gay “pastors” had previously claimed that Hurricane Katrina had hit Louisiana as part of God’s wrath against gay people.
Perkins is not a believer of global warming. Instead, he thinks that “climate change alarmists” made it up in order to promote homosexuality.
Now it appears Donald Trump may simply have been giving the $100,000 to the Tony Perkins-fronted group so that he could rebuild his own home. That’s all well and good, except that Perkins is a wealthy man in addition to being a hateful bigot, and could easily have his house rebuilt himself. In fact his Council is regularly on the receiving end of massive contributions from corrupt conservative billionaires.
The Advocate reports:
The Greenwell Springs church’s website includes a “Statement on Marriage and Sexuality,” which reads in part:
We believe that any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography or any attempt to change one’s sex, or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God.
Like a hero, Donald swooped in to help the wealthy bigoted pastor so that he could rebuild. This could have been Donald’s outreach moment where he could have donated to poorer areas instead of a church full of bigots. 80 percent of the congregation at the church where Perkins serves as interim pastor was impacted by the flooding. God hath spoken.
Tony Perkins’ Family Research Council is listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

- Wife of top Texas anti-gay crusader divorces him to be with lesbian partner -- It's getting hard for the Onion to top this stuff anymore., 21:50:53 08/19/16 Fri [2]

he leader of an anti-LGBT group who has joined with Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott to ban same-sex marriage had his own marriage end after his wife began a romantic relationship with another woman.
According to court documents obtained by Lone Star Q, Corrine Morris Rodriguez Saenz was dating another woman when she filed for divorce from Jonathan Saenz in 2011. Less than six months later, Jonathan Saenz took over as the president of the state’s top anti-gay group, Texas Values.
Corrine Saenz told the court that she wanted to end her marriage on the grounds that it was “insupportable due to discord or conflict of personalities … that destroys the legitimate ends of marriage and prevents reasonable expectations of reconciliation.”
Jonathan Saenz initially asked the court to refuse to grant the divorce, and to bar “any unrelated adult, with whom the parent has an intimate, romantic, emotional, and/or dating relationship to remain in the presence of the children, including but not limited to Ercimin Paredes, a/k/a Ercilia M. Paredes.”
Paredes was reportedly Corrine Saenz’s girlfriend, and the two worked together at as teachers at Becker Elementary School in the Austin Independent School District.
Nearly two years after the divorce battle began, Jonathan Saenz filed a counterpetition for divorce in May of 2013, accusing Corrine Saenz of adultery. The petition also asked that Paredes be permanently barred from access to the children.
The divorce became final on Aug. 1, 2013, and the Agreed Final Decree of Divorce made no mention of Paredes.
The Final Decree stated that both parents had the right “to direct the moral and religious training of the children.”
Earlier this year, U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia ruled that Texas’ ban on same-sex marriage violated the Equal Protection clause of the U.S. Constitution. Jonathan Saenz has been working alongside Attorney General Abbott, the Republican Party’s nominee for governor, to overturn the decision.
“There is wide support for the state’s rights and for marriage to remain between one man and one woman. That cuts across political lines, across faith lines and across demographic lines,” Jonathan Saenz said earlier this month.

Stalwart Trumper Finally Abandons Trumptanic With Scintillating Must-See Rant
-- he following was written by one of Trump’s staunchest allies, conservative radio host, Bob Lonsberry., 04:46:00 08/18/16 Thu [3]

Donald, you dumb son of a bitch.
You’ve destroyed yourself, and you’re about to take the rest of us down with you.
Do you understand that?
Tens of millions of Americans invested in you, not because they gave a damn about you, but because they love their country. And because you convinced them you could lead their country out of the doldrums of decay created by progressive globalists.
They bought into you. A whole political party bought into you.
And you crapped the bed.
You’ve gotten so stupid, so decidedly self-destructive, that it doesn’t seem like an accident. It seems like you’re a political suicide bomber, intent on destroying not just the Republican Party, but also the United States.
Few politicians in the history of America have so soured the nation’s stomach so quickly. You went from your best position in the contest to your worst position in the contest, with a week’s worth of verbal diarrhea. And you have continued to nosedive with imbecilic rantings about how the media is out to get you and the election is rigged and we need vigilantes at the polls to keep Democrats from voting five time.
You are not only not capable of being president of the United States, you don’t even rise to the national average. You are a thuggish stereotype from a 70s mafia movie. A self-important mouth breather who gives narcissism a bad name. […]
In a country deeply dissatisfied with either its status quo or its future prospects, you have single handedly taken a seminal election and nullified it. In a season of choice, you have made sure there isn’t one. You have screwed 300 million people in order to help one person — Hillary Clinton.
And it’s time to piss or get off the pot.
Either immediately pull your head out of your back end, or withdraw from the race.
Throw a clot, make up an excuse, hire somebody to write some credible words, it doesn’t matter. Just find the door and walk out it.
Get over yourself. Come up for air just long enough to realize that, as opposed to being the smartest guy in the room, you are a walking, talking, BSing train wreck. Your conduct thus far has shamed your family name for all time.
And that all needs to stop immediately, or you need to stop immediately.
The nation and those of us who supported you deserve better. And though it looks like you have no instinct or idea about what duty and selflessness are — it is apparent you’ve never been about anything other than your own ego and desires — you need to either serve the team or take one for the team.
You’ve shown your cards and you’re holding nothing.
You can’t hire and direct a campaign staff, much less administer a country. You can’t hold your tongue before a friendly crowd, much less in the counsels of government or diplomacy. You don’t seem capable of expressing a single emotion. You are reminiscent of a monkey in the zoo, who stops playing with himself only long enough to throw turd balls at America.
It’s time to shape up.
Or ship out.
Fire that fool Manafort — he’s the only guy in America creepier than you are. Make genuine peace with the structure of the Republican Party. Hire a speech writer who’s read the Constitution. Gather a staff that will do something more than kiss your self-indulgent ass. Buy some frigging ads, stop boasting about how good you are, get somebody to tell you when to shut your mouth, and focus on the specific issues that won you the Republican primaries.
So fix yourself. Or remove yourself.
It’s not the media, it’s not the establishment, it’s not political correctness. It’s you. You’re the problem.
And you are not just destroying a campaign and a party, you are endangering our country.
And nobody’s worth that.
So if your post-election plans are “a very, very nice, long vacation,” why don’t you book the jet now and leave the election to those of us who love country more than self.
I’ve backed you since the morning of Iowa. I believed in you. I thought you could do it.
And every day you go out to prove me wrong.
Me, and everybody else who voted for you.
And this from one of Trump’s staunchest allies.
Love It.

- Fox News Contributor Who Claimed Hillary Clinton Was A ‘Criminal’ Pleads Guilty To Felony Fraud -- Another pathological liar bites the dust..., 22:42:11 08/17/16 Wed [2]

Wayne Simmons, 62, has been a regular guest on Fox News and has served as an intelligence advisor in Afghanistan and in the U.S. Army. There’s only one problem; he got all those jobs as a result of a lie.
Simmons, who falsely claimed he had “spent 27 years working for the Central Intelligence Agency,” has pleaded guilty “to major fraud against the government, wire fraud, and a firearms offense.” It turns out Simmons isn’t an intelligence expert at all, but rather a convicted felon with two firearms convictions and an unspecified conviction from Maryland under his belt already. And it looks like he can add a few more to that list.
The Department of Justice issued a release on Friday:
‘Simmons admitted he attempted to con his way into a position where he would have been called on to give real intelligence advice in a war zone. His fraud cost the government money, could have put American lives at risk, and was an insult to the real men and women of the intelligence community who provide tireless service to this country. This case is a prime example of this office’s ongoing commitment to vigorously prosecute government fraud and threats to national security.’
Paul M. Abbate, the Assistant Director in charge of the FBI’s Washington field office, said that,
‘Mr. Simmons lied about his criminal history and CIA employment in order to fraudulently obtain government contracts, and separately, defrauded a victim through a phony real estate investment deal. With these criminal actions, Mr. Simmons abused the trust of others, both in and outside of government, for his own personal financial gain. I commend the work of the talented FBI personnel and prosecutors who vigorously pursued this case and brought about today’s guilty plea.’
His wire fraud charge stems from an incident where he defrauded a victim out of $125,000, in connection with a bogus real estate investment scam. He sent her monthly payments to make it appear as if her investment was paying off, and repeatedly lied about the location of her money. Simmons admitted he spent the money on personal concerns and there was never any real estate to begin with.
The aforementioned firearms charges originate from two weapons found in his possession. Simmons was prohibited from owning firearms because of his two previous felony convictions.
Simmons was part of Accuracy In Media’s (AIM) “Citizens’ Commission,” which was part of the media’s successful push to get the U.S. government to formally investigate the Benghazi attack. While serving in that capacity, he appeared on Fox and falsely told viewers that the Obama administration had decided “to not rescue our former CIA operatives and our military” in Libya.
Fox News affirmed that he had appeared on the network, under the false pretense of being an expert in national security and terrorism, but he was allegedly never employed by the network and was never paid, either. According to Bret Baier,
‘Government contractor and occasional Fox News guest Wayne Simmons has been charged with lying about his supposed career with the C.I.A. Prosecutors say Simmons broke the law by lying about his credentials on applications for consulting work. Simmons made appearances on Fox as a national security and terrorism expert. However, he was never employed by the channel and was never paid by Fox.’
After Simmons was arrested, AIM removed all references to him from their website.

- The DEA's Ruling on Marijuana is just SO fucked up. --
, 23:23:20 08/12/16 Fri [6]
In case you missed it, the Drug Enforcement Administration decided this week to maintain Marijuana as a Class I drug, equating it with heroin. They consider Oxycontin less dangerous at Class II.
Most of us think this is effed up, but we don't expect to hear that from a Fox News personality. Shepard Smith is often the exception to that rule, and in this case he is just as incredulous as anyone here at C&L. Transcript via Mediaite:
At one point, Smith sarcastically said, “DEA officials also say that marijuana’s benefits do not outweigh the risks […] LSD, MDMA, weed — it’s all the same thing. Thanks, DEA. You’ve really got a lot of credibility.”
His guest, Fox News legal analyst Mercedes Colwin, pointed out that in spite of widespread decriminalization, time and resources are wasted every year on arrests and enforcement of anti-weed laws. She said, “Now it’s becoming a fiscal reality. Do you know what it is to try to manage marijuana when you do these types of arrests? 700,000 people get arrested. It costs $10 billion to this country to just manage these infractions […] so someone at the federal level is saying, ‘We have to do something about this.'”
“Is it weird to you that it’s such a big part of the economy — and it is: you can order weed, I’m told, as quickly as you can pizza in big cities — and yet it’s not taxed and it’s not part of our economic system?” asked Smith. “I don’t understand why that product should be eliminated.”
Big pharma has a lot to do with politicizing and lobbying when it comes to pot. The "plant that grows in your yard" means it's hard to turn a profit on it. This is yet another example where the people will have to do battle with corporations to win what is only logical.

5 Sure-Fire Signs The Republican Party Is Dying – And Help Is NOT On The Way
-- The Republican Party is dying and it is time to pull the plug.
, 17:40:41 08/10/16 Wed [7]
Asking the question: “So how’s that new strategy gone for them?” The Dallas Morning News details five areas in which the Republican Party is failing:
1. Regarding those youngsters “rolling their eyes,” Trump gets just 9 percent among Americans younger than 30, according to a McClatchy-Marist Poll conducted in early August. That’s lower than Clinton’s 41 percent, and Gary Johnson’s 23 percent and Jill Stein’s 16 percent,
2. While the report acknowledged that the GOP needs to get up-to-date on social issues, the party hasn’t. Instead, the GOP put together one of the most anti-LGBTQ platforms in history.
3. The GOP knew it struggled with female voters after Romney lost that demographic by 12 points in 2012, according to Gallup. So now the party has nominated Trump, a sexist who, according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released on August 7, is 23 points behind Clinton with women.
4. In 2012, Romney won 5 percent of the African-American vote, according to Gallup, which the GOP knew was bad. Now, Trump, who has the support of former KKK leader David Duke, is making it even worse. In some states, he is literally getting 0 percent of the black vote, according to a NBC News-Wall Street Journal-Marist poll released in July. Zero percent.
5. When Romney won only 27 percent of the Hispanic vote, according to the Pew Hispanic Center, the GOP knew that was an issue, too. In the report, tea party leader Dick Armey explained: “You can’t call someone ugly and expect them to go to the prom with you. We’ve chased the Hispanic voter out of his natural home.” The party admitted that before nominating a man who has characterized immigrants as “criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc.“
Noting that: “Trump will likely be crushed in November,” The Dallas Morning News concludes by stating that “this isn’t about the next four years. It’s about the next four decades.” That maybe it’s time for the GOP to face reality and let the party die in its current incarnation faced with the prospect of the changing demographics in America (“non-Anglo populations already account for more than 90 percent of population growth, according to Brookings Institution demographer William Frey,” and The U.S. Census Bureau predicts that by 2043, non-Hispanic whites will no longer be a majority of America’s population).

A neuroscientist explains what may be wrong with Trump supporters’ brains
-- No name, 03:55:13 08/08/16 Mon [5]

There’s no doubt that Donald Trump has said many things that would have been political suicide for any other Republican candidate. And almost every time he made one of these shocking statements, political analysts on both the left and the right predicted that he’d lose supporters because of it. But as we have clearly seen over the past year, they were dead wrong every time. Trump appears to be almost totally bulletproof.
The only thing that might be more perplexing than the psychology of Donald Trump is the psychology of his supporters. In their eyes, The Donald can do no wrong. Even Trump himself seems to be astonished by this phenomenon. “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK? It’s, like, incredible.”
Senator John McCain, who has been a regular target for Trump during his campaign, has a simple explanation for his unwavering support. “What he did was he fired up the crazies.”
While the former Republican presidential nominee may be on to something, he doesn’t exactly provide a very satisfying scientific explanation. So how exactly are Trump loyalists psychologically or neurologically different from everyone else? What is going on in their brains that makes them so blindly devoted?
1. The Dunning-Kruger Effect:
Some believe that many of those who support Donald Trump do so because of ignorance — basically they are under-informed or misinformed about the issues at hand. When Trump tells them that crime is skyrocketing in the United States, or that the economy is the worst it’s ever been, they simply take his word for it.
The seemingly obvious solution would be to try to reach those people through political ads, expert opinions, and logical arguments that educate with facts. Except none of those things seem to be swaying any Trump supporters from his side, despite great efforts to deliver this information to them directly.
The Dunning-Kruger effect explains that the problem isn’t just that they are misinformed; it’s that they are completely unaware that they are misinformed. This creates a double burden.
Studies have shown that people who lack expertise in some area of knowledge often have a cognitive bias that prevents them from realizing that they lack expertise. As psychologist David Dunning puts it in an op-ed for Politico, “The knowledge and intelligence that are required to be good at a task are often the same qualities needed to recognize that one is not good at that task — and if one lacks such knowledge and intelligence, one remains ignorant that one is not good at the task. This includes political judgment.” Essentially, they’re not smart enough to realize they’re dumb.
Out of immense frustration, some of us may feel the urge to shake a Trump supporter and say, “Hey! Don’t you realize that he’s an idiot?!” No. They don’t. That may be hard to fathom, but that’s the nature of the Dunning-Kruger effect — one’s ignorance is completely invisible to them.
THIS is not news to me.
2. Hypersensitivity to Threat
Science has unequivocally shown that the conservative brain has an exaggerated fear response when faced with stimuli that may be perceived as threatening. A classic study in the journal Science found that conservatives have a stronger physiological reaction to startling noises and graphic images compared to liberals. A brain-imaging study published in Current Biology revealed that those who lean right politically tend to have a larger amygdala — a structure that is electrically active during states of fear and anxiety. And a 2014 fMRI study found that it is possible to predict whether someone is a liberal or conservative simply by looking at their brain activity while they view threatening or disgusting images, such as mutilated bodies.
So how does this help explain the unbridled loyalty of Trump supporters? These brain responses are automatic, and not influenced by logic or reason. As long as Trump continues his fear mongering by constantly portraying Muslims and Mexican immigrants as imminent dangers, many conservative brains will involuntarily light up like light bulbs being controlled by a switch. Fear keeps his followers energized and focused on safety. And when you think you’ve found your protector, you become less concerned with remarks that would normally be seen as highly offensive.
ALSO something we already knew about Conservatives. They piss their pants at shadows.
3. Terror Management Theory
The theory is based on the fact that humans have a unique awareness of their own mortality. The inevitably of one’s death creates existential terror and anxiety that is always residing below the surface. In order to manage this terror, humans adopt cultural worldviews — like religions, political ideologies, and national identities — that act as a buffer by instilling life with meaning and value.
Terror Management Theory predicts that when people are reminded of their own mortality, which happens with fear mongering, they will more strongly defend those who share their worldviews and national or ethnic identity, and act out more aggressively towards those who do not. Hundreds of studies have confirmed this hypothesis, and some have specifically shown that triggering thoughts of death tends to shift people towards the right.
Not only do death reminders increase nationalism, they influence actual voting habits in favor of more conservative presidential candidates. And more disturbingly, in a study with American students, scientists found that making mortality salient increased support for extreme military interventions by American forces that could kill thousands of civilians overseas. Interestingly, the effect was present only in conservatives, which can likely be attributed to their heightened fear response.
By constantly emphasizing existential threat, Trump creates a psychological condition that makes the brain respond positively rather than negatively to bigoted statements and divisive rhetoric. Liberals and Independents who have been puzzled over why Trump hasn’t lost supporters after such highly offensive comments need look no further than Terror Management Theory.
4. High Attentional Engagement
Essentially, the loyalty of Trump supporters may in part be explained by America’s addiction with entertainment and reality TV. To some, it doesn’t matter what Trump actually says because he’s so amusing to watch. With Donald, you are always left wondering what outrageous thing he is going to say or do next. He keeps us on the edge of our seat, and for that reason, some Trump supporters will forgive anything he says. They are happy as long as they are kept entertained.
So what can we do to potentially change the minds of Trump loyalists before voting day in November? As a cognitive neuroscientist, it grieves me to say that there may be nothing we can do. The overwhelming majority of these people may be beyond reach, at least in the short term. The best we can do is to motivate everyone else to get out to the booths and check the box that doesn’t belong to a narcissistic nationalist who has the potential to damage the nation beyond repair.
Too bad there are so many words, otherwise Bubbles might read it and understand his insanity better.

It's truly amazing at how tone deaf this party is. And, how hypocritical they are. But, in their worlds, IOKIYAR. It's the rest of the world who must follow their example...certainly not them.

- Donald Trump Makes Up Fictitious 'Top Secret' Iran Tape -- Just another reason Donald Trump IS UNFIT TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!, 18:54:06 08/04/16 Thu [3]

On Tuesday, the WSJ reported that the Obama administration secretly paid the Iranians $400 million dollars that suspiciously coincided with the release of four Americans being held in Tehran.
But the money was part of a not so secret deal that had been struck back in 1979. When the U.S. Embassy was taken over in 1979, the Carter Administration declined to deliver weapons the Shah had ordered and paid $400 million for. When the Iran deal was struck, it was agreed that the United States would refund the $400 million with interest accrued over the years, for a total of $1.7 billion. As a good-faith gesture, Iran released hostages at the same time the agreement went into effect.
Now comes the really crazy part of this story.
For some inexplicable reason, Donald Trump told his rallygoers on Wednesday, that he actually witnessed a video made by the Iranians showing this secret pay off. Trump said, “I’ll never forget the scene this morning and remember this, Iran—I don’t think you’ve heard this anywhere but here—Iran provided all of that footage, the tape, of taking that money off that airplane, right? $400 million dollars in cash! This is in cash!”
That's a lot of cash.
He continued, "Over there, where that plane landed, top secret, they don’t have a lot of paparazzi, you know, the paparazzi doesn’t do so well over there. And they have a perfect tape, obviously done by a government camera, and the tape is of the people taking the money off the plane. That means that in order to embarrass us further, Iran sent us the tape. It’s a military tape. It’s a tape that was a perfect angle, nice and steady.”
That must be some tape, right? Well, it's not. It a lie! A complete lie. I saw this unfold on twitter last night.
If you missed the whole tweetstorm on Trump's "top secret" tape references that weren't top secret - here it is: pic.twitter.com/qVXmPjZEFm
— Sopan Deb (@SopanDeb) August 4, 2016
I understand if he's running out of material to entertain his supporters with during his vaudevillian rallies, but to make up such an out and out lie is incomprehensible. We know he's a serial exaggerator and is a liar, but this is just crazy.
The Daily Beast writes:
U.S. national security officials are literally laughing at Donald Trump’s claim that hewatched a “top secret” Iranian military-produced video showing its government scurrying to grab pallets filled with hundreds of millions of dollars. “It didn’t happen,” one U.S. official said. “That was not part of any briefing.” The others just chuckled at the proposition.
When his campaign was asked to explain how Trump saw a secret Iranian tape of this huge amount of cash being delivered to embarrass us, they replied that it was really b-roll footage from Fox News. Well, it turns out he saw it on TV. Trump spokesperson Hope Hicks admitted to The Washington Post that footage Trump was referring to was not, in fact, top secret. It was b-roll from a Fox News segment.
Any other candidate in any type of election, no matter how far down ticket, would be finished if they made up a lie like that.

The Republican Party hates Trump, but their voters went for him over that group of clowns and pansies that the GOP offered as an alternative.
These Trump Voters are what the Republicans grew on purpose when a 'darkie' moved into the White House. Their Tea Party monster grew out of their control and started knocking down long time Republican congressmen in the primary cycle.
Now those Tea Bag fanatics have picked a narcissistic hateful lunatic as their presidential candidate.
This leaves the GOP the choice of two ways to die.
1. They can choose to stand behind Trump, issuing press statements every few days declaring that what their candidate just said in no way reflects their own views...
...or...
2. They can denounce the lunatic, there by drawing the wrath of all those loony Tea Baggin' Trump Supporters that they cultivated for the past 8 years.
Either way, no matter which choice they make, they stand a good chance of losing control of the House and Senate. If they keep supporting Trump, down ticket Republicans will lose, if they anger their Tea Baggers, down ticket Republicans will lose.
Don't ya just love it?

- A Very Good Plea For Staying Serious -- Can't let the old guard down..., 22:34:02 08/02/16 Tue [8]

We are now seeing a post-convention bounce for Hillary Clinton, putting her on average 6 to 9 points ahead of Trump in most national polls. Democrats are no doubt exhaling with relief. But we cannot let our guard down. Hillary needs to run scared, and get up every morning pretending she is 10 points behind with her back against the wall.
Especially now that it seems the Trump campaign and the candidate himself are becoming unhinged, undone, and flying off the rails, we must more than ever insist on discipline to participate in this election. Register and get to the polls and ensure your family and friends do so as well. It is too important to the future of this country.
The Donald Trump phenomenon has become more than what was dubbed a brilliant political strategy during the Republican primary season of casting aside the old political playbook. Trump is doing much more than just shunning political correctness. He is showing us his political psychosis.
Unending tweet barrages, lusting for violence against Democratic speakers, denouncing fire marshals, attacking sacred Gold Star families who have given the ultimate in sacrifice for this great country, calling on America’s adversaries to launch cyberattacks against us, lying and flip-flopping multiple times in a single rant. This is no brilliant political strategy.
Trump simply cannot help himself if his ego and macho brand are questioned. This is a pathology of personality. It is a darkness of the mind and spirit. As Khizr Kahn so eloquently stated recently, Trump demonstrates a lack of empathy that should concern us all. He also shows a lack of humanity and the absence of normalcy and sanity.
He is a danger to this country.
Donald Trump, in his own words and deeds, has demonstrated better than anyone ever could just how temperamentally unfit, vastly unprepared and wholly unqualified he is to be our Commander in Chief.
But there are still millions of Americans who will vote for him. Millions believe he will be their savior and nothing he says or does, no matter how outrageous, abhorrent, dreadful, un-American or even criminal, will change their minds.
As such, Americans who believe this man cannot get anywhere close to the White House must understand this race will not be a cake-walk. Yes, Hillary Clinton is among the most qualified presidential candidates ever to run in the United States, but she also suffers from a frustrating and sticky un-likability factor — some of it self-inflicted, but much of it the consequence of more than three decades of right-wing character attacks.
This is why the Clinton campaign must hit back hard, but also focus on her positive message of Stronger Together, uplifting the country to find solutions to Americans’ anguish and fear. Hillary will fight and destroy ISIS, continue to bring back good paying jobs, fight for our families and children, and work hard to harness Americans’ love and kindness.

- Trump vs. Khan: How Smearing Everyday Americans Became A Right-Wing Media Tradition --
, 18:06:27 08/02/16 Tue [4]
Who picks a campaign fight with Gold Star parents who have paid the ultimate sacrifice?
That’s the dominant campaign question being asked from so many different quarters as Donald Trump continues his jaw-dropping public feud with Khizr Khan and his wife Ghazala. The Khans have been the subject of a series of attacks from Trump following Khizr Khan’s speech at the Democratic National Convention last week with his wife by his side. During that speech, Khan recounted how their son Capt. Humayun Khan had died in 2004 in Iraq as he tried to save fellow American troops, and then forcefully admonished Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering America.
The Republican nominee has received some right-wing media support in his misguided campaign to discredit the sympathetic mother and father, but not much political support. Indeed, Trump’s strategy appears to have been a political blunder, with the nominee being denounced on many sides.
Regardless of the outcome, the sad spectacle exemplifies a right-wing tradition where players don’t hesitate to smear their opponents, including everyday Americans who happen to stand up to or question the GOP orthodoxy, whether it’s parents like the Khans, or injured schoolboys, caring husbands, gunshot victims, health advocates, or the father of a U.S. prisoner of war. They’re people often suffering from loss or trauma in their own lives. People who deserve to be treated with respect, instead of being battered around politically.
But nobody has been immune from the intimidation tactics.
Here’s a look at previous, disturbing examples of when conservatives adopted Trump’s Khan strategy and unleashed coordinated, and unjustified, personal attacks against vulnerable Americans who stood in the way of GOP messaging.
Michael Schiavo
In early 2005, riding the high of President Bush’s 2004 re-election, Republicans decided to turn the painfully personal saga of Terri Schiavo’s right-to-die case in Florida into a partisan football, which was then punted through news cycles during the month of March. That’s when Republicans began their unprecedented push to intervene legislatively in a state court case that had already been heard by numerous judges.
The problem for the GOP was that Terri’s husband Michael had been fighting and winning in courts for years for the right to end Terri’s life. (Terri’s parents opposed Michael’s effort in court.) So the right-wing media set out to transform Michael Schiavo from loving husband to heartless bad guy.
Then-radio host Glenn Beck reportedly tagged Schiavo as a “murderer” who had fathered two "bastard" children. One conservative Colorado columnist denounced Michael as a “scumbag,” while The Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan mocked the husband as a “disaffected” “strange-o.”
This, for a man whose wife had lived in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years.
Graeme Frost
In 2007, President George W. Bush vetoed bipartisan legislation to bolster State Children’s Health Insurance Program, or SCHIP. The bill was set to expand the program to millions of children who didn’t have insurance. After the veto, 12-year old Graeme Frost was chosen to give the Democratic response to Bush’s weekly radio address and used his platform to urge the expansion.
After he suffered injuries from a car crash, including a days-long coma, Frost needed continued therapy. But his working parents, with a combined income of about $45,000, couldn’t afford private health insurance, especially after Frost’s injuries. (Graeme’s sister was also injured in the crash, and remained in a coma for three weeks.)
Soon after the radio address, an electronic mob descended on the Frost family, and specifically their 12-year-old son. Led by conservative blogger Michelle Malkin, who traveled to Maryland to scope out the Frosts (“I just returned from a visit to Frost’s commercial property near Patterson Park in Baltimore. It’s a modest place.”), the right-wing media mob, joined by Rush Limbaugh, lambasted the family, suggesting they were defrauding the government, or clearly undeserving of help. Malkin even dubbed the boy a "human shield" for Democrats.
Digging online, bloggers discovered Graeme attended private school and used that as proof of a scam. But the boy attended the school on scholarship and the family clearly did deserve government help to care for their ailing children. As Time concluded, “The Frosts are precisely the kind of people that the SCHIP program was intended to help.”
But the right-wing media had no problem attacking the family of a little boy who almost died in a car crash.
Sandra Fluke
When Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke testified before Congress in February 2012 about the need for health insurance companies to provide access to affordable contraception, Rush Limbaugh responded with an unhinged, career-defining, three-day smear campaign. During his bullying meltdown, Limbaugh attacked Fluke as a “slut” and a “prostitute,” and urged her to post online videos of herself having sex. The talker unfurled 46 Fluke insults that week.
The talker even ridiculed her parents on his nationally syndicated radio show:
Can you imagine if you're her parents how proud of Sandra Fluke you would be? Your daughter goes up to a congressional hearing conducted by the Botox-filled Nancy Pelosi and testifies she's having so much sex she can't afford her own birth control pills and she agrees that Obama should provide them, or the Pope.
For Limbaugh, the bizarre, misogynistic campaign targeting the previously unknown law school student marked a turning point in his career, as advertisers by the hundreds announced they refused to be associated with his program. Four years later, his show still has not fully recovered from the advertising exodus.
Trayvon Martin
Who would’ve ever thought that a cable news channel would devote 16 months to victim shaming an unarmed teenager shot to death while walking home at night? But that’s what Fox News did to Trayvon Martin after he was killed by a neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman, during a late-night encounter in a Sanford, Florida, gated community in 2012. Police initially did not charge Zimmerman with a crime, citing the state’s controversial Stand Your Ground self-defense law. Following intense public outcry, Zimmerman was charged with murder and found not guilty.
But why did the conservative media feel the need to smear and attack a dead teenager? Unlike Frost and Fluke, Martin hadn’t made any overt political statement against the GOP. And the tragic story of his death certainly didn’t fit any pre-existing narratives about crime or gun violence in America that conservatives embrace. In fact, the storyline was an awkward one for Fox News. As Orlando Sentinel columnist Beth Kassab wrote at the time, there was "no good way for gun proponents to spin the death of an unarmed teenager."
Initially, the conservative media mostly downplayed the story. National Review editor Rich Lowry actually published a blog post headlined "Al Sharpton is right," agreeing that Zimmerman should have immediately been charged with the killing of Martin.
But when President Obama expressed sympathy for the Martin family and famously said, “If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon," the conservative media, wallowing in Obama Derangement Syndrome, instantly treated that as some sort of declaration of war; a war on “thug” Trayvon Martin and his reputation.
Robert Bergdahl
When President Obama made the Rose Garden announcement on May 31, 2014, that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was returning home after being held captive for five years by the Taliban, there’s probably no way Bowe’s grateful father Robert could have known he’d instantly become the target of the right-wing media’s wrath. (Conservatives were furious Obama exchanged five Taliban detainees held at Guantanamo; Bergdahl is currently facing “charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.”)
In what other instance has the father of a returning prisoner of war been depicted by portions of the press as a possible terrorist sympathizer and mocked on national television as he awaited a reunion with his son?
Fox’s Brian Kilmeade: Bergdahl’s father looks “like a member of the Taliban."
Bill O’Reilly: He “looks like a Muslim.”
Laura Ingraham: “If he wasn’t so light-skinned, he actually looks like the terrorists.”
All of those attacks were launched in the name of scoring partisan points against Obama for okaying a controversial prisoner/detainee swap and returned home a captured American.

The Fat Cheeto has out done himself.
By attacking the mother & father of a fallen Iraq hero, he has out Trumped himself.
He's not going to walk away from this one without a scratch.
My theory that he really doesn't want to be president is still valid. He's taking these conservative morons for a ride, he'll sell millions of books about this later.

The real Hillary.... Her actual words:
1) "Where is the God damn flag? I want the God damn fucking flag up every morning at fucking sunrise". Hillary to staff at the Arkansas Governor's mansion on Labor Day 1991. From the book "Inside the White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 244
(2) "Fuck off! It's enough I have to see you shit-kickers every day! I'm not going to talk to you, too! Just do your Goddamn job and keep your mouth shut." Hillary to her State Trooper bodyguards after one of them greeted her with "Good Morning." From the book "America Evita" by Christopher Anderson, p.90
(3) "If you want to remain on this detail, get your fucking ass over here and grab those bags!" Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident. From the book "The First Partner" p. 25
(4) "Stay the fuck back, stay the fuck back away from me! Don't come within ten yards of me, or else! Just fucking do as I say, Okay!!?" Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail. From the book "Unlimited Access" by Clinton 's FBI Agent-in-Charge, Gary Aldridge, p.139
(5) "Where's the miserable cock sucker?" (otherwise known as "Bill Clinton") Hillary shouting at a Secret Service officer. From the book "The Truth about Hillary" by Edward Klein, p. 5
(6) "You fucking idiot" Hillary to a State Trooper who was driving her to an event. From the book "Crossfire" ~pg. 84
(7) "Put this on the ground! I left my sunglasses in the limo. I need those fucking sunglasses! We need to go back!†Hillary to Marine One helicopter pilot to turn back while in route to Air Force One. From the book " Dereliction of Duty" p. 71-72
(8) "Come on Bill, put your dick up! You can't fuck her here!!" Hillary to Gov. Bill Clinton when she spots him talking with an attractive female. From the book "Inside the White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 243
There it is ........book, chapter and page.......the real Hillary Rotten Clinton!
Additionally, when she walked around the White House, NO ONE was permitted to look her in the eye, they all had to lower their heads with their eyes towards the ground whenever she walked by. Clearly she is a class act!
This ill-tempered, violent, loud-mouth, hateful and abusive woman wants to be your next President, and have total control as Commander-in-Chief of our Military, the very Military for which she has shown incredible disdain throughout her public life .
Remember her most vile comment about Benghazi: "What difference at this point does it make?"

Trump is betting on the racial tendencies and ignorance of his voters to make America an all-white America! They believe he will stop the "white ethnic cleansing" and bring it back to the 1950s.
There is no proof of him ever being a business success at anything other than fundraising. He's nothing but a conman.
Ask the people of Michigan, especially Flint, how well having a businessman in the governor's office has worked out. And we want to put one in the White House?

- Male Escorts Made Crazy Money At The RNC -- It's how the GOP rolls..., 18:16:27 07/24/16 Sun [5]
It’s been a great week for gay escorts in Cleveland.
Male prostitutes contacted by The Post said business is booming and Republican National Convention attendees — most of them married — are clamoring for their services.
“Business has been way better. I’ve seen 10 clients so far,” one male escort said.
“Most of them were first-timers. You could tell they were nervous, but once they became more comfortable, they seemed to be having a good time.”
Another escort said he had already earned $1,600 since Monday — over six times the amount he usually makes.
“I normally only make $200 to $300, but I’ve been seeing lots of guys in hotels downtown,” he said, noting the boom in business near the Quicken Loans Arena.
The clientele has included mostly married white men between the ages of 40 and 50, said another escort who’s seen eight johns so far.
“One of them was from Texas and visiting for the convention. He said he was a politician,” he said, claiming he didn’t remember the client’s name.
One gigolo who charges $250 an hour said he’s been making about $800 per day since the convention kicked off — all from men visiting from Florida, Louisiana and Washington, DC.
“Usually I need to go out of town,” he said with a chuckle.
Most men paid to have sex, but one client requested to “do his business in the corner” while watching his wife in bed with the escort.
One of the hookers said he wasn’t surprised that the convention — filled with politicians who openly oppose gay marriage — brought such a boom in business.
“When it comes to anything people aren’t supposed to be doing, they like to do it,” the escort said.
“The Republicans have a lot of delegates in the closet, let’s put it that way.”
But ladies of the night weren’t reaping the same benefits.
When contacted by The Post, females for hire said they’re making much less money than normal.
“Has business been better for me? Honestly, no,” one woman said before abruptly hanging up the phone.
“Business is slower than usual,” said another. “I haven’t been getting any calls.”

A Resignation letter
-- No name, 15:46:44 07/24/16 Sun [3]
Yesterday I resigned my position in the York Township Republican Committeemen’s Organization. Below is the letter I sent to the chairman explaining my decision.
Chairman Cuzzone:
We come together in political parties to magnify our influence. An organized representative institution can give weight to our will in ways we could not accomplish on our own. Working with others gives us power, but at the cost of constant, calculated compromise. No two people will agree on everything. There is no moral purity in politics.
At the national level, the delusions necessary to sustain our Cold War coalition were becoming dangerous long before Donald Trump arrived. From tax policy to climate change, we have found ourselves less at odds with philosophical rivals than with the fundamentals of math, science and objective reality.
The Iraq War, the financial meltdown, the utter failure of supply-side theory, climate denial, and our strange pursuit of theocratic legislation have all been troubling. Yet it seemed that America’s party of commerce, trade, and pragmatism might still have time to sober up. Remaining engaged in the party implied a contribution to that renaissance, an investment in hope. Donald Trump has put an end to that hope.
From his fairy-tale wall to his schoolyard bullying and his flirtation with violent racists, Donald Trump offers America a singular narrative – a tale of cowards. Fearful people, convinced of our inadequacy, trembling before a world alight with imaginary threats, crave a demagogue. Neither party has ever elevated to this level a more toxic figure, one that calls forth the darkest elements of our national character.
With three decades invested in the Republican Party, there is a powerful temptation to shrug and soldier on. Despite the bold rhetoric, we all know Trump will lose. Why throw away a great personal investment over one bad nominee? Trump is not merely a poor candidate, but an indictment of our character. Preserving a party is not a morally defensible goal if that party has lost its legitimacy.
Our leaders’ compromise preserves their personal capital at our collective cost. Their refusal to dissent robs all Republicans of moral cover. Evasion and cowardice has prevailed over conscience. We are now, and shall indefinitely remain, the Party of Donald Trump.
I will not contribute my name, my work, or my character to an utterly indefensible cause. No sensible adult demands moral purity from a political party, but conscience is meaningless without constraints. A party willing to lend its collective capital to Donald Trump has entered a compromise beyond any credible threshold of legitimacy. There is no redemption in being one of the “good Nazis.”
I hereby resign my position as a York Township Republican committeeman. My thirty-year tenure as a Republican is over.
Sincerely,
Chris Ladd
See that? You can't have an actual working brain and morals and still stay a Republican forever.
I love this part:
From tax policy to climate change, we have found ourselves less at odds with philosophical rivals than with the fundamentals of math, science and objective reality.
Been telling Bubbles that Reality is Not His Friend for a long long time. Nice to see that some Republicans... FORMER Republicans, agree.

“It’s interesting that the Democratic National Committee will have a wall around their convention to keep unapproved people out while at the same time, their presumptive nominee, Hillary Clinton, pushes for open borders policies that are even more radical than President Obama’s. She would refuse to deport dangerous criminal aliens until after they have been convicted of committing heinous crimes against Americans, close detention centers, issue even more extreme executive orders than Obama, and increase Syrian refugees five-fold. Her proposed policies make no sense, decimate the rule of law, further reduce wages for poor Americans, and increase the risk of terrorism and criminal behavior.
Supporters of Bernie Sanders are planning for a protest outside the DNC and have received approval from the city for 30,000 demonstrators at the park adjacent to the convention venue for the entire week. THE AREA WHERE DEMONSTRATIONS WILL BE PERMITTED WILL BE OUTSIDE THE FENCED-OFF SECURITY PERIMETER.

Donald Trump speech fact-checked, results prove little to no truth from start to finish
-- No name, 03:31:22 07/22/16 Fri [3]

BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump just concluded his GOP convention speech, and fact-checkers have found that most of what was said, was in fact false. One by one, Trump's claims were quickly debunked.
Trump debunked
It started with Melania Trump being accused of plagiarizing for her convention speech, as experts quickly proved that she had lifted parts of Michelle Obama's DNC speech in 2008. On Wednesday night, the convention continued its controversy when Texas Sen. Ted Cruz refused to endorse Trump when he appeared on stage, leading to members of the audience attempting to attack his wife, Heidi Cruz, who was sitting in crowd. When the billionaire real estate mogul finally gave his convention acceptance speech, he delivered information that didn't hold up to fact-checkers, as reported by The New York Daily News on July 21.
Trump claims that "decades of progress" involved with limiting crime has been the victim of President Obama's "rollback of criminal enforcement," However, fact-checkers show that the violent crime is actually at it's lowest rate in over 45 years, to which they cited statistics from the FBI.
Trump continued his theme of violence, stating that murders in Washington, D.C. "have risen by 50 percent." That number is also wrong, as local police reports show that killings in D.C. have gone down, falling 9 percent over the last year.
went on to blame Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for the rise of the Islamic State (ISIS), saying that before Clinton became Secretary of State in 2009, "ISIS was not even on the map." Once again, Trump was misleading in his statement as ISIS was originally formed in 2004 as part of al Qaeda in Iraq, and renamed in 2006.
Turning his attention to economics, Trump made what many are considering his biggest "whopper" of the night. The GOP nominee said that the United States was "one of the highest-taxed nations" in the entire world. Fact-checkers listed over 30 nations where taxes are higher than in the U.S.
Despite failing to earn a passing grade from fact-checkers, the majority of Republicans praised Trump's speech.
surprise, surprise, surprise

Trump supporters are nostalgic for an age that never existed. They want to back to they way they see America as it, was portrayed on Leave it to Beaver and the Andy Griffith Show, as if these worlds actually existed. Perhaps they should change the name of the party from the Republican Party to the Nick at Nigh Party. More importantly they want to go back to a time when women and blacks knew their place and were willing to stay there.

So far, this is the new crap Republicans say they are fighting for:
- Porn will be made illegal.
- They 'declare' that Coal is Clean. That's all, they just say so.
- Selling off national lands.
- Building Trumps wall. Which everyone that takes even a quick look at the figures agrees would be a miserable and astronomically expensive failure.
Who stands for this shit?
Not long after the close of the second world war, a gathering took place in the upper Mojave Desert; among those in attendance were Dr. Bertrand Russell and Dr. Edmond Jaeger, the dean of American desert naturalists.
Around the campfire one evening, the topic under consideration was Right and Wrong. After listening to the discussion amongst his distinguished colleagues for a fashion, Jaeger turned to Russell, whose white wispy hair and pipe smoke were outlined in the flames, and said, "The environment, since it cannot run away nor defend itself, must be protected. And THAT, sir, is the difference between what is Right and what is Wrong."
Seven decades later, that definition of absolute morality has, if anything, gained even greater currency -- and is proof positive that the claim of moral superiority by the so-called "Right" is not merely an absurdity, but an obscenity. Indeed, they are a collection of sociopaths, misanthropes and sadists.
We need at least two political parties in America, that's the way things work best.
But they don't work when one of those political parties make it's only objective to use poor, uneducated people to advance the wealth of the top 1%. And that's ALL they are doing.
Propaganda works wonders on weak minds.

With Clinton exonerated, conspiracy theorists turn on Trey Gowdy
With the Republicans’ Benghazi Committee uncovering no meaningful new information, and with the panel’s investigation effectively exonerating Hillary Clinton, right-wing conspiracy theorists this week had no choice but to give up and find a new hobby.
HA!
No, I’m just kidding.
They’re actually redirecting their ire towards Benghazi Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.).
Conservatives are turning on Gowdy, in whom they invested so much hope. The far-right South Carolinian was supposed to bury, not exonerate, Hillary Clinton.
Michael Savage told his radio audience, “Trey Gowdy should be impeached for wasting my time! He promised us a lot! Remember?”
(Members of Congress can not be Impeached, they get Expelled)
A woman in the crowd floated a new Benghazi conspiracy. “Has someone in the GOP leadership gotten their fingers involved in watering down some of this to benefit Secretary Clinton?” she asked. Nobody rebutted this idea.
Herein lies a lesson for Republicans who are perpetually trying to appease the far right: It’s a fool’s errand. They went to the tea party – and now they’re taking Donald Trump to the prom.
John Boehner named the Benghazi committee because activists were dissatisfied that seven previous congressional investigations had failed to uncover major scandal material.
Now an eighth has produced more of the same – and the agitators are as agitated as ever.
Here's the twisted logic to this.
-The unhinged right starts with the ideologically satisfying answer: that President Obama and Hillary Clinton are guilty of horrible Benghazi-related wrongdoing
- then works backwards, looking for “proof” that matches the conclusion.
- When their ostensible allies fail to tell these activists what they want to hear, they could reevaluate their bogus assumptions, but it’s vastly easier to believe Republicans have let them down.
Rep. Trey Gowdy's (R-SC) Benghazi Committee didn't tell far-right conspiracy theorists what they wanted to hear.
So conservative activists are turning on Gowdy with a vengeance.
P.S. "The unhinged right" in this story, is you Bubbles, it's you.

Republican Benghazi Committee ends with a whimper
-- No name, 09:25:44 06/28/16 Tue [2]

When House Republicans created the Select Committee on Benghazi two years ago, tasking the panel to investigate a deadly attack that had already been thoroughly investigated by other committees, GOP activists, conspiracy theorists, pundits, and election staffers had high hopes of what Rep. Trey Gowdy’s (R-S.C.) committee could accomplish.
That was quite a while ago. More than two years and $7 million later, the Republicans’ Benghazi panel has wrapped up the longest congressional investigation in the history of the United States, and it couldn’t avoid this lede in the New York Times.
Ending one of the longest, costliest and most bitterly partisan congressional investigations in history, the House Select Committee on Benghazi issued its final report on Tuesday, finding no new evidence of culpability or wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton in the 2012 attacks in Libya that left four Americans dead.
The full report, which is over 800 pages long, is online
put another way, the Select Committee on Benghazi came to the same conclusions all of the other investigations reached quite a while ago, raising questions anew about why in the world this committee was necessary in the first place.
Read it here Bubbles! Because you know they won't be talking about it on Fox News.

Restricting the power of the authorities is the entire reason we have a Constitution.
It's not our god damned priority to make sure those with power are able to use it without restraint. It's our priority to make sure that those WITHOUT power are able to be free from the powerful's misuse of their power.
The entire IDEA behind the American justice system is that it is better to let ten guilty people go free than to have one person's rights violated.
Learn about the country you live in for chrissakes.
How many obstacles do we need to handcuff the actions of police? AS MANY AS WE CAN POSSIBLY HAVE and still have a reasonably safe society.
CIVIL RIGHTS come first, your fears are WAY down on the list.

This college student made a bad choice. One that could have ruined lives, instead- it backfired and it’s going to ruin hers. Just as she started to think she may have gotten away with her sickening plan, she was given a nasty surprise from the judge. Satisfying.
It all started back in November when a few threats were posted to Twitter, targeting black students from New Jersey’s Kean University. Once an investigation was launched into the matter, you can imagine their surprise when officers learned that the person responsible was Kayla McKelvey, a black student who also attended the school.
She had created her own fake twitter and posted this…

As it turns out, there was a student rally focusing on racial issues at the time and the threats weren’t a coincidence. The entitled brat made the threats in hopes of drawing more support for her cause. In fact, after making the sickening tweets, McKelvey then went back to all her friends to tell them about the “racist demands.”
As a result, local law enforcement, as well as Homeland Security, spent about $82,000 on extra campus security and an investigation into the threats. Beyond that, several students missed class, and there were even calls for Kean President Dawood Farah to resign over the fake hate.
Unfortunately for McKelvey, it seems that her “genius” idea didn’t sit too well with officials who have since decided to make an example out of the entitled brat. According to recent reports, McKelvey has been slapped with the maximum sentence for her crimes – 90 days behind bars – and even a few extra surprises.
The judge also slapped the race-baiter with 5 years probation PLUS a 100 hours of service in the labor assistance program. She is required to undergo anger management and counseling as well. Why? Well, Judge Robert Mega says it best when she called McKelvey’s actions, “a selfish plan of hate that created terror and mayhem and put her classmates, school, and police officers at risk,” However..that wasn’t all, there is more!
On top of her long-lasting punishment, Judge Mega saved the best for last, forcing the punk to repay every penny of the $82,000 in cost incurred as a result of the hoax threats. This two-bit thug is everything wrong with society today.
It’s going to be a long while before this girl is going to be able to rebuild her character and gain trust again. Her selfish, arrogant decision has cost her more than I think she knows right now. This is going to be an ugly burden to carry for a very long time…far past completing her physical and financial consequences. Imagine how many more, just like her, are out there creating such fraudulent claims.

President Obama Signs Executive Order Banning The Sale Of Assault Weapons

WASHINGTON D.C. (AP) — After Sunday’s mass shooting in Orlando, which left 50 Americans dead and 53 wounded, President Obama decided to take unilateral action on gun control by signing Executive Order 17103. The new law bans all sales of assault weapons and places a mandatory 30 day waiting period on all firearm sales, regardless of whether the transaction takes place at a gun dealership or gun show. The requirement also extends to private sales and requires all private firearm sellers to broker the sale through a federally licensed gun dealer. The order requires prospective gun buyers to undergo a psychological evaluation. Individuals who have been committed involuntarily to a mental health institution at any time; those who have been voluntarily committed with the past 5 years; anyone with a domestic violence restraining order, regardless of criminal history; and anyone who has been placed on the no-fly list or terrorist watch list at any time within the past 10 years will not be allowed to purchase or possess firearms.
"President Obama was unapologetic in his speech regarding the Executive Order."
TAKE THAT YOU BITCHES!
It will take another Executive Order to reverse this one.
And don't count on a "President Trump" ever getting a chance to do that.
....I get tired of being right all the time.

Far-right senator demands vastly larger U.S. prison population
, 05:25:06 05/20/16 Fri [5]

The White House has noted that there are currently 2.2 million Americans behind bars. “We incarcerate people at a rate that is unequaled around the world,” the president explained last fall. “We account for 5 percent of the world’s population, 25 percent of its inmates.”
This status quo is brutally expensive; it does lasting damage to countless families; and it undermines communities nationwide. Many policymakers – in both parties – hear numbers like these and believe it’s time to change direction. There’s nothing so unique about Americans that necessitates the United States locking up so many of our fellow citizens.
But then there’s Tom Cotton, who sees these numbers as little more than a good start towards an even larger prison population.
While there’s broad support for sweeping reforms, far-right opponents haven’t given up the fight to derail the entire initiative. In fact, as Politico reported, one right-wing senator argued yesterday that the United States doesn’t lock up nearly enough of its population.
Sen. Tom Cotton on Thursday slammed his colleagues’ efforts to pass sweeping criminal justice reforms, saying the United States is actually suffering from an “under-incarceration problem.”
Cotton, who has been an outspoken critic of the bill in Congress that would reduce mandatory minimum sentences, smacked down what he called “baseless” arguments that there are too many offenders locked up for relatively small crimes, that incarceration is too costly, or that “we should show more empathy toward those caught up in the criminal-justice system.”
“If anything,” Cotton argued, “we have an under-incarceration problem.”
The GOP senator went on to argue against letting Americans vote after they’ve served their time. He also boasted that the bipartisan criminal-justice reform legislation, co-sponsored by members of the Democratic and Republican leadership, “is dead in this year’s Congress.”
So guess which Corporate Lobby is lining Cotton's pockets.
Go ahead... take just one guess.
This is what you get with Republicans. Stinking rotten to the core.

London Elects Muslim Mayor
Sadiq Khan was elected the new mayor of London, becoming the first Muslim ever to lead England’s capital city.
In December Donald Trump announced he would enact a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”
Yesterday, however, Trump suggested his “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the country wouldn’t be total and complete.
“There will always be exceptions,” Mr. Trump said when asked in an interview on Monday how his proposed ban would affect London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan.
For his part, Sadiq Khan heard about Trump’s willingness to make an exception for him, and the new mayor isn’t interested.
“Donald Trump’s ignorant view of Islam could make both our countries less safe – it risks alienating mainstream Muslims around the world and plays into the hands of the extremists. Donald Trump and those around him think that western values are incompatible with mainstream Islam – London has proved him wrong.”
For you less cerebral readers...

Many in Nation Tired of Explaining Things to Idiots
-- Borowitz Report: A recent poll reveals Americans are exhausted after pointing out the painfully obvious.
, 09:28:56 05/06/16 Fri [2]

MINNEAPOLIS (The Borowitz Report)—Many Americans are tired of explaining things to idiots, particularly when the things in question are so painfully obvious, a new poll indicates.
According to the poll, conducted by the University of Minnesota’s Opinion Research Institute, while millions have been vexed for some time by their failure to explain incredibly basic information to dolts, that frustration has now reached a breaking point.
Of the many obvious things that people are sick and tired of trying to get through the skulls of stupid people, the fact that climate change will cause catastrophic habitat destruction and devastating extinctions tops the list, with a majority saying that they will no longer bother trying to explain this to cretins.
Coming in a close second, statistical proof that gun control has reduced gun deaths in countries around the world is something that a significant number of those polled have given up attempting to break down for morons.
Finally, a majority said that trying to make idiots understand why a flag that symbolizes bigotry and hatred has no business flying over a state capitol only makes the person attempting to explain this want to put his or her fist through a wall.
In a result that suggests a dismal future for the practice of explaining things to idiots, an overwhelming number of those polled said that they were considering abandoning such attempts altogether, with a broad majority agreeing with the statement, “This country is exhausting.”
How about that, the rest of the nation is catching up to us.
We've known for ages that trying to explaining things to Bubbles was a waste of time.

Donald Trump didn't break the Republican Party. It was already broken.
He simply exploited the wreckage to advance his own ambitions. -- No name, 06:20:16 05/05/16 Thu [1]
