Smiling, she turns to face Channa and her grin broadens. "I was a bit absent minded there, should have been watching my step. It's nice to see a friendly face. Most people I've seen have been a bit distant." Taking a deep breath she extends her small hand and her wintery eyes admit some hope to them.

"I'm Wessae. My family used to breed herdbeasts before they moved away. I came here, but I've only made it as far as the Sands. And yes, I'm a Candidate, and I can't wait! I think my cousin, well, third cousin really, is at Eastern now. But I came here, Igen was always the one I heard the stories about. And the one I pretended to be from." She feels a chill cross her veins at mention of Candidacy and her eyes glitter and shout her excitement to the other girl.
