But his slight frown turned into a relaxed and approving smile when he saw what Maria�s fire-lizard had delivered to her. It was lovely to see how close she and her son were � the bluerider was almost shocked by the jealousy he could feel. If only he had met Salzay earlier � she seemed to like him well enough now, but if she had never met him she would still be under the impression that he was evil. At least now she knew that he wasn�t.

But S�peer soon became guarded again when he glanced around the Lower Caverns. �Maria, how about we take this elsewhere? I can see K�mir over there with what doesn�t look like his first wineskin of the day.� There was a definite advantage to not drinking, he had come to realise over the years. The general feeling of numbness was what he missed the most, but waking up the next morning with a hangover�and then having to drink a bit mores so you could stagger through the day, and then et back to drinking until you were numb again�that was not something he missed.

((Uh, Pup, if there�s one thing K�mir hasn�t been, it�s a prude. Hehehehe.))
